Why? Cause I'm a student studying overseas and all I can carry around with me is a laptop and you know how bad laptop's keyboards are.  sweat.gif
Anyways, they're an investment in the long run. It's something you're gonna use it daily if not most of the time.
I guess it comes down to preference.  smile.gif

not much of a story... was using a simple generic HP/Dell keyboard all the while... then hand itchy wanna try out MKB and to know what's the big hoohaaa was all about... well, that was about 1 month ago. I had bought and sold CM Storm TK. Now using Ducky Zero and am looking for my first TKL board. Bought some keycaps and always stalking massdrop for new stuffs. ya... you can tell your bro that 20 bucks idea is shyt. Have he even tried MKB?
*
Yes he do , he tried MKB at Orange CC ( which use Razer mice And KB ) and he said Razer is the real shyt to deal with filco .. Then I show him some chat from this thread sifu and he still stand for Razer .

Overall feel and experience. Like the quality, the comfort, the performance and durability.

Try a Blue Switch MKB with a normal rm 20 keyboard. I assure you can feel the major differences between them.

There's no need to go for super expensive or custom made MKB...  You can always get a good MKB under RM 300.
*
Yeah that's what my bro said too . But I'm finding a good quality MKB and filco is the only choice . I think about getting rosewill but ... There's many bad review on them ...
I don't feels like spending my money on doesnt longlasting plastic KB
( I'm not auguring with you but ... If you got the money ... Will you like to spend it on things can use 5 years just add rm100 or spend cheep and keep have problem ish ? )

It's normal for your brother stand for Razer, because it's well-known brand. Meanwhile, common people doesn't recognize Filco brand.
Razer marketing is strong around here. Razer help introduce the mechanical keyboard to the people.

In your brother mindset about Filco:
- I don't know who you are
- I don't know your company's product
- I don't know your company's reputation

I'm absolutely ok with both option; spending extra for better quality keyboard or using cheap keyboard (non-mechanical) as long as the keyboard have good typing feel.
*
That's totally what my bro mindset right now .
I always think , why Taiwan company like filco or ikbc do a lot of event at Malaysia ? They can totally earn a lot of money lol

Well screw my brother . BTW sifu , is brown switch use for double tapping is easier than the 20$ keyboard ?

Only way to answer that question is to try it out yourself. Doesn't matter what other people say or comment about the types of switches.

Most important is you try it out yourself and decide which type of switch you like more. Some might like brown, some red, some black, some blue. Everyone have their own tastes.

I see ... Switchs is kinda like , tea O , tea C , kopi O , kopi C XDD

Will do smile.gif I'll try and wait for my good news :3

iKBC is making good keycaps for MKB.  thumbup.gif

Filco is Japanese brand but made in Taiwan mostly.

Ducky is Taiwanese brand and made in Taiwan.

Usually, sifus here mostly recommend Filco and Ducky as well as some models from CM Storm for 1st timer MKB users.  smile.gif
