Been vaping for 2 weeks & last touch cigarette was 5 days ago - still have 17sticks left.

Got my first EGO CE-5 from a friend who bought from Petaling street for RM15 + RM5 for Peach e-juice. Tried that for couple of days & now end up with Smok M65 + Kanger Subtank mini. Vape on....

Just changed my spare Atomizer (0.5ohm). Been spitting since yesterday & lowered the wattage down to 7 in order to get rid of the spitting. But the full flavour is really UUmmmmppp. Too bad on the spitting & the noise of torching...really scary. Now, how to I carry on with the sub ohm without spitting? Can anyone enlighten me please?

Is it rba or occ? If rba, try to set the coil lower towards the airhole. Give at least 2-3mm gap. And try to use less cotton when wicking.
*
Was using OCC that came with the tank yesterday. Now just changed to RBA. It's also a 0.5ohm. But I got to do the wick (organic cotton that comes in the package). As advise use less cotton & bump up the wattage to 20W. Hot air & cool 7-up flavor hit up....liking it.

Thanks for the head up.

Got my EGrip last Thursday without the RBA as it was out of stock. Nicely that John allow me to get it over the weekend. Problem noticed :

1) Stock atomizer, burnt taste after 2nd day of use. Even at lowest wattage 8w. Really disappointed, but lucky there's RBA. Pick it up on Saturday night.
2) With the RBA, I noticed that there leaks everytime I refill. Well, not very bad, but there's slight leak at the bottom air flow on the RBA.
3) The puff at the bottom like kentut, :

Question :
1) Is it normal for its original atomizer to be burnt so fast?
2) Leakage on the RBA sound common as for all YouTube or comment I checked. Is it so?
3) The puff....Normal?

Noobie here too, but I will try to help:

1. Did you chain vape on it? My stock atomizer was going on well for 1 week before I changed it to RBA. Allow short intervals in between draws to allow the wick to be properly primed and moist during vaping.
2. Gotta fill up the RBA with cottons. Try closing at least 2 juice flow holes with cottons, and it would seriously help leaking issue. Stock cotton is just rubbish. Rewicking solved my problem.
3. Had that too when I changed to RBA with stock cottons. Changing cottons solved it. I ASSUME that it is because too much liquid flowing into coil-head in a short time that it is actually directly boiling the juice instead of vaporising it.. Changed cotton, and no more nasty popping..

Just a noob opinion..  smile.gif

Thanks for the head up. Will try to re-wick the RBA. Stock cotton is already 2 days old now, I should try to do it tonight.

Just a rant...I feel sellers should be more responsible when selling to a beginner. Do not coz you need to hit certain target that you push high powered mods to beginners who most likely don't know what it's all about. I have personally observed a seller who managed to persuade first time buyers (they were barely 20 year old I think) to take 100W mods when most of us don't even vape that high. And when selling them tanks, doesn't even explain the difference between 0.5 & 1.2ohms (subtank mini included OCC).

Vaping is still in its infancy stage & we should encourage more SMOKERS to change to vaping. But to make it worth their while, vaping must not be complicated to discourage beginners. What you will get when pushing all these high powered mods & stop short of warning them about sub-ohm vaping, and once these beginners have a bad experience or 2 when they use these mod, they will say vaping is dangerous, complicating & then go back to smoking.

Sell responsibly, give adequate advise & in the long run, it will benefit your business too.

Just my 2 cents.

+1 bro. Well said. But, how about when we were beginner? It's also the user problem if they do not research more before spending hundreds on vaping.

Thanks for the advice.

I checked on IPV Mini V2 and it looks good.

For Kanger Subtank Mini 2 the coils can go both ways right? Premade and self build?

Is this combo good for vaping? And what battery is suitable to go with this?

Thanks again
*
Best combo that I have it.
Just got my IPV Mini 2 yesterday. The power is consistent & working very well with my Subtank Mini.

Which subtank mini are you using?

And which battery you used?

Subtank now only have V2. I think I am having V1.

Comes with LG HE2. Charge with my phone charger that's rated 2.0A. Testing it out today.

I dont know about the rest of you but I was quite blur too when I first started. Consulted here & read a bit but still a bit blur. Ohms, volt, wattage, coils, wick etc all like greek for me. Went to a vape shop, seller recommended a Smok M65 with subtank mini (very common setup & luckily he dont have 100w mod at the time  tongue.gif ), explained a bit about the OCC coil, told me not to touch the 0.5 coil at the moment, bought some juices & that was it. I guess that was a reasonable first purchase.
*
I got my Smok M65 + Subtank (2nd purchase after the first waste on eGo Twist x 2 for RM180 - working on spare & sold the Kanger protank 3 -luckily on that).

Now, as of today, I can say I understand substantially more (thanks to YouTube) & doing my own wicking on the subtank  tongue.gif

That's what I call research.... nod.gif

I see. Very nice information im getting.

Whats the difference between OCC and pre-made. Im getting confused for this. So Kanger Subtank Mini is using which coil?

I think i'll head over to VE for the parts and flavors at Le Gadget like you guys recommended.
*
The said OCC are referring to pre-made coils (plug & play). The subtank mini also comes with RBA (rebuiltable atomizer) which you can do your own coil & cotton. Changing the cotton every day or two & the coils some within a week, some two. It's much cheaper to maintain RBA, but you have to sacrifice your time to do it. Well, I done mine within 10 min for 2 tanks for re-wick (cotton). Pretty fast, so I get to do it like every night before hitting to bed.

bro.. as a beginning, try visit VE... they will do recoiling for u FOC as long as u buy something from them (u need liquids after all)... after a while, when u are really familiar, then only DIY... In fact, one of my friend solely depends on them since day one... As we only need to rebuild the coil every 2-3 weeks, by the time u wanna replenish your liquids, get them to recoil again for u... those days, I even get them to recoil occ coil for me and it's FOC too... The only thing u need to learn is how to change cotton only... easy job if u watch it from youtube...
*
Recoil OCC....yeah. I just tried to do it myself. It's done, but have not try it out. Hopefully its good to run. Finger cross. sweat.gif

otai2,

smok m65 + kanger subtank mini

the best setting?

coil diameter=

watt =
volt =
*
Similar to my setup : Smok M65 + Subtank Mini

Coil Diameter : 2mm (small screw driver as rig)
Coil Size : 6 wraps
Ohm : I got 1 ohm most of the time. But Smok M65 detect 0.9 ohm
Watt : 12.5W is the best
Volt : once set at 12.5W, the V would be 3.6V.

u use kanthal 26?

Er...frankly speaking, I don't know what kanthal I have. I got 1 meter free from John from my last visit. But it served me well so far.
The usual or common for sell is 28 AWG. I assume it is.
