Which map you usually go?
If I want fast but not wasting the keys, I will go for Normal 1-5. Bring 4 fodders, use 1-4 formation, and put your strong AOE hero at the back.
Should be able to clear within 30 seconds.

-Bring Spike for his immunity to status effect.

If you have Jave, you can skip Velika for now.

Your team really lack of a good unit with AOE....
Then you really should take Velika.
If you prefer scoring high damage on Dragon Raid and CR, then take Shane.
