Hello friends, I have a question about purchasing perfume from overseas. I've just returned to Malaysia after a long time away and I am admittedly quite ignorant about the custom taxes/ duties. The retailer I am purchasing from will ship through UPS and declare the item as 'Perfume without Vaporisateur' and will lower the declared value for me. Will this cause any issues with the custom department? I expect I will need to pay some amount of tax. And does anyone have an estimate what the tax/ duty percentage would be? Many thanks!

Has anyone shopped from Kens Apocathery? I was wondering if anyone has experience with their loyalty rewards program and if they are generous with samples (if at all).

ps: I bought an item from them recently but I am not happy about their customer service. They eventually fixed my issue after weeks and weeks of me chasing up but I expected alot better from an official retailer. And my perception on them so far is they seem to be more interested in chasing after influencers while the customer service isn't great? Not a good sign.

Yes. When I was living in Canada, one of my purchases was missing a bottle. They denied my refund because their invoice showed they had the item in my packing list when it was missing from my package. I've blacklisted them since then and have warned others.

If you can't purchase samples for test at home, the second option is to go there and sample (not ideal of course)

So far my orders from overseas have no issues. But the declared value including shipping was less then RM 500.
