Do you love it? It smells like lemon-grass, with some hints of lemon. After 30 minutes, it becomes a skin-scent.

It's difficult to find Amouage testers right now, I guess I have to take a plunge and buy at a full retail price.

I'm new, so my suggestion would be limited. Maybe others can chip in. Most fragrances from L'artisan Parfumeur to my nose, are skin-scents type. I'm you're looking for something fresh, try checking-out L'artisan Parfumeur Batucada. It's delicate lime, and mint.

Try 4711. It's very affordable. It smells similar to much more expensive Neroli Portofino by Tom Ford.

4711 cologne spray smells absolutely awesome and amazing scent. Personally like it vy much.
The draw back here is the longevity,Seems no longevity to me. Like 30min pufffff.... gone.. Can do a small decant and carry wherever you go. smile.gif
Given the price,Couldn't ask for more.. Just carry a small decant and is good. And abuse it! laugh.gif
But with the hot and humid Malaysia weather,The fresh scent is really nice

I've seen it in Singapore but didn't notice any in KL.

SOTD - Ambre Sultan by Serge Lutens
Right off the bat, I get a blast of herbal bay leaf and oregano with a sweet resinous labdanum/amber. After a few minutes, it mellows into smooth amber and benzoin/vanilla with the herbs/spices still linger in the background and stays pretty much the same until dry down. At this stage it smells almost identical to Amber Absolute by Tom Ford. Opening is loud but it calms down pretty quickly and moves closer to the skin but still radiates few inches above the skin. It still is my Sultan of amber even though I've tried all the amber fragrances I could get my nose on. The kitchen spice opening actually gives it an edge and makes it unique in my book.

Haha true i do have the habit of carry a small decant going around but re-freshen like every 30mins lol sorry too lazy to do that.

Fresh scent always do well in our weather and i found out girls here prefer fresh scents more, so if anyone wanna look for any mass market appeal, go fresh, or sweet sensual scent.

so a well-groom, well-dressed and well-scent will most of the time left a nice first impression on girl, rest is up to your manners and etiquette

I went to try RM160 Afnan Supremacy Silver. To my surprise, it's very very very similar to Creed Aventus, complete with the birch burned tar smells. Only that it's slightly less potent, but very very similar.

SOTD: Dehn al Oudh Abiyad. This smells like Gucci Oud

Not a house I'm familiar with. Is it sold at KLIA?

SOTD - APlS by MFK
It opens up with very nice resinous labdanum but sharp sour urine accord (probably from honey+caraway) joins in seconds later and stays pretty much the same until dry down. It's an unusual take on amber I would say. The honey+caraway combo actually gives it an edge. It has above average projection and good longevity on my skin. If animalic amber is your thing, definitely give this a try. I love it!

Isetan at the Garden Mall MidValley had fragrance stock clearance promotion for the past few days. I did not know that it was a highly regarded Aventus 'clone' at Basenotes/Fragrantica, tested it by chance. However my wife said it smelled totally different.

I'm not sure if it's available somewhere else.

Ah, Calvin Klein. It once ruled the land of perfume in the early 90's. I still wear my Escape once in a while. It was my first and signature scent in the 90's. Too bad that Coty ruined everything it got its hands on.
