I think they could recycle the batch code but I've not heard of them doing so so far. The 36-month expiry date is just a reference. Perfume stored properly, air tight, away from direct sunlight and at constant room temperature can last indefinitely. Volatile top notes may be off. Perfume will age like wine. The older the better. I have a spray bottle of vintage Bal a Versailles (EdC) made in the 80's (dating based on packaging design) still smell the same as decant I got from surrendertochance.com.

My SOTD is Jicky (EdT) of current formulation. Natural lavender and vanillin with a touch of baby poo (civet).

If you have the chance to smell fragrances with raw natural ingredients, do not miss it. I mean, real musk (from deer gland), real aged oud (not syntactic, nor planted oud). I had the chance to experience high quality frankincense and incense used to perfume ancient shrines, Persian palaces, and mosques when i was Iran. It's out of this world. I asked locals where can I buy such fragrances. He simply said I wouldn't be able to afford it.

When I was in Dubai, on the other hand, was completely filled with the usual stuff.

No surprise. The SA are only taught/trained to sell what they have at their counter and that includes non-fragrance products. They are just average Joe like most Malaysians. Our thread is a good example. There are only a handful of us here.

Went for a short trip vacation to SG yesterday,Hence didn't post much.
Be able to feel the Christmas season is around the corner with nicely decorated Christmas tree,Light, and street art along the stretch of Orchard Road from Good Wood Park Hotel to Plaza Singapura..

The Flacon went up by SGD100 compared to last year where i haul my Tuscan Leather... And did explore and sniff a few scent ; Tom Ford Private Blend Italian Cypress, Tom Ford White Suede & Tom Ford Noir Extreme... Well,Both scent are quite comfortable and might in my nx radar for TF scent.

Went to Takashimaya and look for a Christmas Gift for my wifey.As wifey request a bracelet from Les Nereides and thot they have selection for fragrance as well that i can try out,But too bad,they only carry jewellery. As i found myself trying out a new frag-house from Olfactive Studio..

Your wife sure got taste. I think the closest you can find Les Nereides fragrances is in HK but I didn't manage to check that out last time. I have a bottle of Oppoponax along with free samples of Douceur de Vanille and Oriental Lumpur but I haven't really tested them yet.

I've only tested Olfactive Studio Chambre Noire. Plum, patchouli and leather sitting on top of creamy sandalwood. Not bad but stays close to the skin.
