Pretext: I never liked lavender prior to this. A lot of lavender that i've encounter smells just like Fabuloso. Thus, I did not give any expectations when i went and smell this last few weeks ago.
Initial blast is
EXTREME. It opens with strong distinct lavender, accompanied by bitter lemon and geranium. The initial blast is kinda harsh but its totally bright and extreme. Some of my colleagues commented that it smells like mosquito repellent (Ridsect LOL).
However, the magic begins when the top note fades away. Lavender took a step back while Tonka and Violets comes out to play. This phase is my favorite so far. Powdery violet and sweet tonka makes this fougere very un-fougere-like. Lavender Extreme morphs into a semi-fougere-oriental as it dances around for a few hours. It stays pretty linear throughout after the initial top note fades. The execution somehow reminds me of Lost Cherry whereby the prominent note stays in the background while tonka and peru balsam work their magic.
Simply stunning. I wear this almost everyday that it could become my new signature scent.
In terms of silage and projection, I would say medium. Longevity wise, it projects with diminishing strength more than 6-8 hours depending on environment condition before dialing down to a skin scent thereafter. Lasts quite sometime on fabric.

For now, i'm gonna wait until Tuscan Leather Intense is released and compare it to the original.
