QUOTE(speedfamgirl @ Feb 23 2016, 06:18 PM) Hi guys, I hope you dont mind me joining this LYN Fragrantica..although the thread is for guys perfume, but i'm more towards unisex scent. Searched at the ladies forum, nothing interesting & i dont wear makeup. Welcome speedfamgirl,Share with all of us here anything bout your bottle collection.I mostly collect miniatures, and have a handful of full bottles as well....here's my wardrobe http://www.fragrantica.com/member/257970/ Most fav house is from Diptyque & Jo Malone. I used to buy a lot from FragranceX until one day i received a warning from pharmacy dept prohibiting me from importing perfumes without permission from them Due to our shitty exchange rates & the import limitation i have to stop buying online/overseas...buying local are expensive too thanks to GST :'( Diptyque i do own one of their only rose base fragrance (Eau Rose),In fact is my wifey bottle,But sometimes i curi curi use... Smells simply breathtaking. SOTD : HERMES BEL AMI ![]() |

QUOTE(Underhill @ Feb 22 2016, 04:34 PM) How do you folks come into terms that, a bottle of your perfume can cost as much as a nice flat screen TV? More expensive than gold? My Zegna collection alone could pay for a nice holiday in Amsterdam? I can't. I should consider quitting this hobby Power man Can't imagine bro Zegna entire collection can treat for a europe trip... You must be damn rich bro.. Share with all fellow Lowyat fraghead bro full package Zegna family portrait (Full Bttl & Luxury Box packaging). I believe this can give everyone a heartbeat pulse and excitment to show off their collection too. Like Basenotes.. they snap a beautiful pic of their collection |

QUOTE(t0n3 @ Feb 25 2016, 09:57 PM) Yeah, don't worry about walking out of the door empty handed. I always does that. My experience with them had been pleasant so far, be it local or overseas retail stores. Congratulation to you bro.. Is true to skip wear perfume when you get close to baby infant. As their inner organ and nose is still vy vy young and on develop. Might too strong for him to handle.I probably would go semi-retired mode after one last FB haul. Thinking to get either Knize Ten, Cuir Cannage or Mona di Orio Cuir. I have not been wearing any perfume for the past one week as my wife has just given birth to a baby boy. I don't wanna wear any scent near my precious. Good things is i can see bro can train your young one in coming future.. |

QUOTE(attacusatlas @ Feb 27 2016, 01:03 PM) Agree with Bro attacusatlas,Still can shop for fragrance. But have to choose wisely and put more consideration.. Given a new family members and the weak currency situation.. Make it really no way for 'blind-buy'. A 100bucks can spend on many things for baby ; milk powder, diaper, baby apparel and so on. |

Trying out new scent...
I'm a big fans for ambergris.. And here i tasted ADP creation.. A big chunk of NATURAL ambergris mixed with musk...while strong hold of the scent backboned backed by aromatic salty sea notes.. Absolutely amazing scent... Opening scent a bit resemble to Dior Sauvage which get tonned down a lot.. While the scent settling down in a warm ambergris which brings out a flora notes in it... Guess is the sweet ambergris making the scent develop into giving a flora touch. SOTD : ACQUA DI PARMA COLONIA AMBRA ![]() |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Mar 15 2016, 05:44 PM) just wondering, but how come duty free nowadays isnt cheap? or colognes no such thing as duty free? Duty-Free means : Langkawi are consider cheap.i just returned from manhattan, in stores and even factory outlet basically same price / not a significant difference compared to duty free. heck amazon even some cheaper than duty free... Those selling at Airport are consider duty-free as well,But their price doesn't get any cheaper nowadays compared to Langkawi. Thanks to our PM for GST implement. But still,Certain brand that worth getting at Airport duty-free such as those controlled brand and perfume powerhouse ; Chanel,Dior or Probably Hermes. Which their RRP at boutique are way murdering consumer.. Ebay,Amazon are another place to source for fragrance,Yet there's a risk for being scam.Just purchase from the person you know or reputed seller. Another thing for sure ordering from overseas when the parcel arrive Malaysia. Sure kena 'Kastam' for GST. Once they implant the GST.There's no such things as parcel coming in as a gift. Anything in they just 'Tax' 6%. While if you over Ordering. You possess a very high risk for kena Confiscate from 'Pharmacy dept'. Hope this helps... Now no more cheap perfume |

QUOTE(Everdying @ Mar 15 2016, 06:07 PM) ya i expected dubai to be cheaper, but to the best of my memory almost like same with Manhattan in stores only. Maybe 'luck' play a part.. GST only applies if the total amt is rm500 or more. but got ppl who bought more than rm500 and no GST... usually if shipped using courier like fedex. if ems, sure poslaju, and very likely get GST... even that also see mood of customs... some ppl get lucky and no GST. Even i order some small item aso kena open up and pay GST.. Check with the officer is a gift from overseas,They don't allow as well. According to my local officer conversation. They hold any parcel when reaching malaysia port and they do some random pick. Those from oversea (Europe,Us) merchant, add. They will hold and check the label. Usually kena one. |

QUOTE(romalis51 @ Mar 21 2016, 03:43 PM) Hi, I'm new here. Nice solid choice you have romalis51,All my entire life I've been using Joop! Homme. I love it as it last long as the smell is sweet but sometimes smell kinda synthetic. May I ask sifus out here that can recommend me a longer lasting perfume that had wooden/green smell? Why not give it a slight upgrade and try out Mont Blanc Individuel,For my nose I can smells is more refined and smoother warm cinnamon,Vanilla & Juniper combination. Definitely one of the bottle worth scent! |

QUOTE(romalis51 @ Mar 21 2016, 04:11 PM) It is suitable for day used? But I heard Individuel is not as long lasting as Joop! Homme isn't? Is the projection good? Tested both and i would say Mont Blanc are better than Joop.Probably you can give it a test at your local departmental store... Joop for me too sweet and synthetic.. Longevity and Project was good for me.. i got 8hours ++ and going. Projection at a feet distance. |

I also got more free samples than I asked for and for those who wants to know, as expected (>RM500), it was inspected by Kastam and Farmasi as there were Kastam tapes and Farmasi chop on my box. Fortunately, they let it through and didn't rip my box apart like last time. Congrats bro on your new fragrance added in your collection.![]() ![]() Totally no idea what fragrance house is it.. QUOTE(t0n3 @ Jun 7 2016, 01:22 PM) Nice one! I find the styrax just a little too much for my liking else it's full bottle worthy for me. Thanks bro!I just wear it once a while,Sometimes when the crave hit you. You got no choice but just to sprinkle some of your fav scent. Solid display and packaging in a nice presentation box. Looks grand... But the price for this is full bottle is really affordable. |
