Sample of the day - Russian Tea by Masque
A smokey dusty tea scent with a slightly sweet raspberry note. No, it doesn't smell like Tea for Two by L`Artisan Parfumeur or Five O`Clock Au Gingembre by Serge Lutens. It was quite enjoyable to wear.

Clean dry down smell. Last 6-7 hours on my skin. Not really a master piece but great value for the price.

Saw CKOne gold showed up at Parkson but no tester available, selling for RM239. Chanel counter No.5 L'Eau also available now at RM583 , smelled it but too feminine for guys. Maybe will try to get a sniff of Versace Dylan Blue , a combination of Dior Sauvage and Blue De Chanel ,so much hate is gotta be good right ?

This you mean? Seems like I'm the only one here who has this.

But mine's not for sale. Any bottle purchased for more than 2 years is a keeper for me because with constant reformulations going on I don't wanna risk it. I have used up much juice since the last time I took this photo so not doing any decanting on this one. Sorry. Oh yeah BTW, I got mine from StrawberryNet on a good deal.

I've completed/used up all of my samples I got recently. Of the bunch, I liked Montecristo by Masque (possible a FB) and Absolue d’Osmanthe Extrait by Perris Monte Carlo. Absolue d’Osmanthe Extrait starts off with nice peachy Osmanthus and soon joins in by this balsamic goodness of tolu, which smells exactly the same as my much cheaper Absolu by Rochas (discontinued). For the price and availability, I'll stick to my Rochas for now.

Usually took about 12 days to reach East Malaysia using DHL Express without any delays in custom department but some fellow members here have had problems with the custom lately.

Hi all, so long never update for this thread! Would like to ask if Fragrance du Bois giving out 15% off is common? or they could give higher? I had tried Herod, thinking that it is higher quality but seems the dry down is a bit common for the price point. Anyone try both Herod and oajan before?

Usually around 10 days to reach KUL. They ship using DHL (their national courier).

Out of curiosity, is yours the new one or the older batch? Mine don't seem to last that long (maybe half of yours, either that or my nose got used to it) and it's the new batch. Also how many sprays do you go for?

My samples have arrived yesterday. Also in the mail were two free random carded samples. This is what I've ordered :-
- Masque Fragranze - Act I - III - Russian Tea - Eau de Parfum
- Masque Fragranze - Act I-II - Montecristo - Eau de Parfum
- Masque Fragranze - Act III•II - Romanza - Victorian Narcissus
- Tauer Perfumes - Lonesome Rider
- Rania J. - Oud Assam - Eau de Parfum

Sample of the day - Lonesome Rider by Tauer Perfumes
My first impression, it reminds me a bit of Cuir by Mona di Orio minus the castoreum. I detected some light citruses during the opening. This is a non-birch tar but suede-like leather with some iris, vetiver and pepper thrown in. Pepper makes it a little spicy. Although it has iris in it but it doesn't smell like Cuir Cannage by Dior. Projection is rather soft by Tauer's standard. Longevity-wise, I can only find out after the end of the day but I reckon it's average, probably 6 hours at best.

Tell me more about LR. Is it dry like LDDM? So when you say suede-like, that would mean the leather is not strong la? Is it anything like its name at all?

At first I thought it would be a lighter version of Lonestar Memories but no, it's not even remotely close. It smells much closer to Incense Rose but minus the clementine with suede-like leather added in (think Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford or Cuir by Mona di Orio). Not dry. A little powdery and much lighter than LM. Pleasant to wear but I prefer birch tar in my leather perfume smile.gif

I'm enjoying your Philosykos.
At the end, I guess patchouli is not my cup of tea tongue.gif
