Hi, so I bought a original game , Assassin creed unity @ RM 135. So, inside there's 5 disc for me to install, and so my question is, is it the same as the one that is being sold at Steam ? For steam if you buy it from there, you just have to download it and pay online. I bought this from the shop, so is it the same when I install it? Will it be like steam will have this game installed in the library when I install it using the disc?

It's not gonna be Steam version, that is for sure.
Instead of Steam, you'll have to stick with uPlay which is Ubisoft's very own app/store.

Retail version for Assassin's Creed Unity use Uplay client ONLY to play the game. When you install the game using the disk, you'll be prompted to install the Uplay client. And the CD key included can only be activated on Uplay.

So it will not be connected to Steam at all? But is it still the same whether or not I buy it from Steam or from shop?

Coz don't have credit card to pay online, so use buy. But i thought it's the same coz CSGO also if you buy the disc from shop, you install it, it'll still be connected to steam. Isn't it the same for unity? Or it won't be the same as the steam version?

CSGO is different case as it's a Steamworks game which means the physical copy can be activated on Steam. AC Unity is not Steamworks game and it doesn't require Steam to install and play if you bought it outside of Steam Store, physical or digital. AC Unity uses UPlay client to play.

So say that it doesn't connect to steam at all, this one that I bought from the shop, will it still be the same exact gameplay/version as from the one on Steam?

So, still the same game, still version, same gameplay as Steam. But if you play on Steam, does it allow you to go online too in the game? Or the game does not have like a online system whether or not you play on Steam.

1) insert disc 1
2) follow the instructions

As the others have said, it doesn't use Steam and yes it is the same version as Steam. You will be asked to create a uPlay account during the installation. Just follow the instructions.

The online play doesn't use Steam, it use Uplay wherever you bought the game, Steam or others.

Ok got it. So the only difference that people buy on Steam is that the game will be shown in their Steam Library, that's all ?

Ok so after I installed the game, uPlay is available on my desktop, I click it, registered for an account, used the activation code to activate the game, the game is now activated, so then I hit the Play button from the uPlay, and I accept the end agreement, after that it says 2 Updates available for download, Assassin Creed Unity and Assassin Creed Dead Kings, I get to choose Download / Play offline / Cancel option, so I chose download, and it's now downloading a 50gb size thingy. What should I be doing now? Am I good to click the play button and play or?

It's better to wait until the download is complete.

Some game clients like Battle.net and Uplay allow you to play while the download is still running when it reach playable state, though i never try it myself.
