![]() ![]() ![]() Online multiplayer race. All this while sitting down in the LRT to USJ7. Pretty freaking awesome that I can do this with DiGi portable Wifi feeding the online connectivity. With no warping or blinking in and out too! |

QUOTE(kuroneko0509 @ Mar 6 2017, 04:12 PM) ![]() now to figure out how to get standalone switch in short time w/o any bundle because I don't want to have 2x copy of zelda so yeah... those who think can freely import from japan, thanks to note 7 incident japan post (or is it dhl It's not that it's not allowed, just that your shipper probably chose not take the expensive route. There are protocols covering shipping of dangerous goods in planes more sensitive and harmful than lithium ion batteries. I've flown corrosive, flammable compounds halfway across the world before, but they were contained within their pre-prepared containers and sealants, and the crew were trained to handle situations of spillage and such if that happen. We had to do that course every year. No pass no license. |

For what it's worth, I have no desync issues either. JoyCons losing sync in the middle of split-second timing games like Fast RMX would be disastrous. Tested the JoyCons in all configs: on Switch, separated each on left and right hands, on Grip.
After getting the Pro controller just now, the JoyCons most probably will permanently stick to the Switch unit iself from now on. Hands got cramped doing finger gymnastics matching phase colors in Fast RMX. I don't play wiggle waggle games, not my cup of tea. This post has been edited by stringfellow: Mar 6 2017, 05:02 PM |

Should be good breaking lap records with this. Already feels so much better than the cramped JoyCons.

Scratches are unavoidable with the Switch. Particularly with the bottom where the port is. Unless you dont plan to use console mode, and rarely meddle with docking it in, there are bound to be scratches at the bottom no matter how careful you are. I've been using iPhone dock and that only involves the cable portion getting into the iPhone charging port, and still get scratches after docking and undocking it everyday.
The best way for me to install the screen protector = let the guys at LYP do it for me. The added incentive is the screen protector installer gets to fondle and try out my Switch as the reward. This post has been edited by stringfellow: Mar 6 2017, 09:05 PM |

![]() Took the plunge. IF the delivery time is true, will only be here by the very end of this month. Until then, it's a "play-stop playing-charge" cycle kinda routine, instead of simply charging while playing without losing battery power. |

Fast RMX is ace to me. I'm not into chibi-cuteness or Japanese related content (unless they're realistic, I love FFXV but I hated World of FF, that kind of example) . I'd like some semblance of reality in my games, and that includes realistic graphics. Hence why I wasn't around much in 3DS or NDS.

Did an extended power drain test today. Played Fast RMX and LoZ BOTW extensively off the dock connected to the Aukey 30000mAh powerbank. Assuming that the Switch pulls 12W 5V 2.4A off the USB-A port, the powerbank manage to arrest the power drain sufficiently enough, but will not charge it unless I drop out to the dashboard. Helps a little if I put the Switch into airplane mode, but the annoyance of the Switch searching the portable MiFi device and reconnect made me cut short that. Didn't wanna lose the luxury of instant jump-in into multiplayer in Fast FMX.
So, for the time being, and if my usage while being mobile include playing sparingly in LRT, at the back seat of an Uber ride, or while eating lunch or chilling in Starbucks, the Aukey (or any powerbank that has 12W out) actually does suffice. For now. Until a game comes that draws more and tip that equilibrium back. |

Personally I'd be embarrassed to be caught in public playing 1 2 Switch or Just Dance than be seen holding a Neon Switch in public. Ghey or otherwise.

QUOTE(warlockimran @ Mar 8 2017, 09:09 PM) Actually the embarrassment is part of the fun with some of these social games. Nice ice breaker with friends, and teaches us to laugh at ourselves more (Something I find is disappearing more and more these days in Malaysian society, everyone super sensitive). Keyword: perception. If colorful JoyCons can be construed as llama or ghey just by their colors alone, the same can be said about games like 12Switch milking cows or dancing with JoyCons in Just Dance. One perception for another perception. I was all in on the waggle during the WiiU days, until game devs uses waggle as more of a gimmick than anything that progresses gameplay mechanics. Also, I treat games like 12Switch and Just Dance as an extension of what free2play games are on mobile. |

I may have found a perfect powerbank for the Switch to charge on the go and still charge while playing. Waiting for the response from the available stock seller about availability.
From the power rating, it goes up to 40W. 9V 3A, 12V 3A, 15V 2.6A (which incidentally is the EXACT power rating for the official Switch AC charger!) and 20V 2A. Been researching this for more like than 2 days already. And I believe this is the perfect fit, better than the RAVPower. Will post my findings once I have the unit in hand. Will do. I dont wanna put high hope and start recommending anything until I test it out myself. But the results were hopeful. And I've secured a unit shipping out tomorrow.

QUOTE(MattAces @ Mar 10 2017, 11:40 PM) Unrelated but since you have it, how's fast rmx in terms of longevity? Does it get bored very fast? Still on the fence to get that. It's my most played title on my Switch. More than Zelda itself. Track unlocks are challenging, and online matches are smooth. It does not have career mode, or story mode like modern races, reflecting its 20 dollar price. Fast RMX is my go-to title I'd show to showcase the graphics capability of the Switch. My advice is, if you're wary, I'd say save the 20 bucks and wait for MK8. It's tough navigating the tracks in Fast RMX, much less perfecting it to hold podium placement in the leagues. |

![]() Exact voltage and amperage as the AC adapter. USB-PD. One more week to go. Let them Yanks have their RAVPower that they refuse to ship outside USA, this one (on paper at least) is perfect! |
