Had a panasonic aircon once.. the board short circuit and there was a tiny explosion Changed to york after that

Last time York is manufacturing in Daikin factory and now York is made in China so Daikin and York totally not same..

some say york has the best BTU compared to others..

Best is daikin with inverter

I have been using national panasonics since 20 yeras back. Ok la. Not bad.
Have a 2.0 carrier 10 yo at home super cold, but electricity super exp.
Anyway I'm interested in daikin recently coz last time ppl say made in japan n so on. But recently ppl say it is actually york ?

Any 1HP air-con that able to achieve 10000 BTU/h is the best. So far, I've never seen the BTU higher than that for 1HP. If the claimed number is right both York and Daikin has that number. Panasonic 9550 BTU/h

York has long been distributed by Malaysian company OYL. In 2006, Daikin bought OYL for 1.1billion pound. So, there is conflict between York and Daikin. During transition because of the contract, OYL initially will still service York for under warranty.

Now I believe York has established their own distribution network already

so the daikin in malaysia are still daikin proper and not york in disguise?
