Hello guys. I am new here. Help me to decide. I want to buy a telephoto lens for my d7100. I shoot mostly outdoor. Its Between nikkor 70-300vr and tamron sp 70-300vc. I like the tamron design but which one give better quality photo? I saw somebody sell them at exact same price. Thanks in advance.

definitely get the nikon one...the price should be not that much different...
in the past i was getting the tamron one too fast without knowing that the the price different for nikon is so little only...

Folks,

I'm super frustrated. My 18-200 VR2 / D5300 is always having issues focusing in low light, and many times wont even auto-focus or allow me to press the press the shoot button. I'm not sure if the issue is with the lens or camera. Any suggestions ?

i think this is normal when u has focus priority being set. it mean if the camera cant focus then it wont let u snap at all.

but for the reason y it can get focus...it very hard to comment what kind of low light u refer to...but to get easy focus in low light condition, always look for some bright area in the scene that is same distance to the object u want to snap

A 35 1.8G is much sharper trust me. i used both.

btw i was thinkin to grab a wide. either a 20mm 2.8D or the 18-35mm 3.5-4.5G
who has tried them before?
*
agreed...35 1.8g is way better...i both own in the past as well..

i got the 18-35 before...i like it very much. it also feel lightweight for me and the focal length just nice

i think most ppl here also know that website price is always higher biggrin.gif
i mostly use that as reference and lower it a bit then is market price already smile.gif
but sometime i still shop there due to the reputable and fast response from the owner
