QUOTE(DS_Legacy @ Jan 31 2016, 11:01 PM) Which lens you got? 18-55mm or 18-140mm? 18-55mm...may I know why? Always bring your camera out and shoot more. That's the easiest way to improve. “Your first 10,000 photographs are your worst.” ― Henri Cartier-Bresson intend to bring it outside and shoot more, but the place where I live right now always raining... |

QUOTE(jun_ng_1208 @ Feb 1 2016, 10:01 AM) 18-140mm has more reach so technically it will be a more versatile lens Raining scene can be beautiful so try an go out and shoot more QUOTE(DS_Legacy @ Feb 1 2016, 10:48 AM) just like what jun_ng_1208 sifu says, 18-140mm is more versatile. But I started shooting with a 18-55mm too. I think I'm okay with 18-55mm..the thing is for 18-140mm will cost me £699, £130 more expensive than the one coming with 18-55mm..quite expensive. Still in learning process, lot to learn. HeheheDespite being a basic lens, you can still shoot a lot of nice shots with that lens. QUOTE(d@odao @ Feb 1 2016, 11:55 AM) Slowly la. Familiar with the cam and develop your shooting style. Thnx mate..hopefully will start to check new camera 2-3 years..hahaThe more u learn, the more u will start to check on new cam and lens. Happy shooting. |

QUOTE(goldfries @ Feb 13 2016, 03:05 AM) It's ok, to know about the lens he used you can view his image on Flickr. I did that, but no name on the lens..huhu..Click on his image, the it will show the details of what settings he used too. Not every image on Flickr will show those details though, it will only appear if EXIF data is on the image uploaded. Anyhow, can you recommend me which nikon G lenses good for landscape.. |

At first I want to choose tokina 11-16, but who knows if I need to zoom a little bit more..so right now I dont know which one should I go with. thnx

QUOTE(goldfries @ Feb 23 2016, 08:39 AM) I thought if using DX lens no need to 1.5x calculation..huhu..so basically I still need to consider 1.5x for whatever lens I'm using on the DX body even though it is a DX lens?QUOTE(jun_ng_1208 @ Feb 23 2016, 09:36 AM) Not too sure about the Sigma, but the Nikkor 16-85mm is a very versatile lens if you can accept the smaller apperture I knew that one is ultra wide angle lens, my heart keep telling me to get that one, but because money is one of the issue rite now, I think I must get either 16-85 or 17-70 which I need the sifus opinion. I dont want to go to iceland with 18-55 kit lens only..huhuTokina 11-16mm is a totally different lens when compared to the Sigma and Nikkor, as the Tokina is a ultra wide angle lens |

guys, I need advice..my sensor got dust..i tried to clean it using using swab stick, the dust still there when I zoom until 140mm (i can confirm this is not a dust from lens, because when i change another lens, the dust still remain at the same spot)...there is suggestion from the swab stick if the stain remain, use new swab and put 1-2 drop cleaner, clean it. should i try it? however when I look at the sensor, I dont see any dust...

QUOTE(Agito666 @ Sep 14 2016, 09:10 AM) if view finder got dust, as long as not affect to photo then leave it. My photo got affected by it, thus i believe its on the sensor. How much it cost for the cleaning?or else send back to cleaning lol... my one also got dust spot something, sent back 2 times annual cleaning and did mention viewfinder got dust but when send back still have the mark QUOTE(jun_ng_1208 @ Sep 14 2016, 10:00 AM) You need to confirm if the dust is on the sensor/viewfinder first, take a photo and look at the photo on your laptop, if the 'dust' is there in the image then it's on the sensor. I'm sure the dust is on the sensor. Because the black spot is in the photo. I'm using D5500..it will cost me up to £40 if I send it for cleaning. If it's not, then the dust is on the VF... What camera model you're using? Pentamirror VF has chance of dust entering the chamber more than the Pentaprism VF |
