hi guys, fiance and I will be heading to Europe for 3 weeks and we're bringing our Nikon J1 (with 10-30 & 30-110mm lenses + 1 tripod).

1. Currently using a 8gb class4 sd card, any advice if we should be using a larger storage sd card and extra batteries?

2. I'd bring both lenses, but worried those pickpocket might curi from my bag when busy jalan or worse get surrounded by those groups 'beggar kids' ><" Any advice on how to protect from theft/pickpocket?

Thanks in advance guys, cheers

3 weeks is a looong time, but if your shooting jpg. should not be a problem for 8GB. but I would advice getting a extra memory cards. because they are dirt cheap. throw in one or two 16GBs and you should be good to go. Normally I would always buy 1 extra battery handy. But if your confident w/ the J1, why not.

I would say awareness would be your best tool against pick pockets. Id be more worried about wallets and passports tho...

Not really that long, but I guess kinda depends on the number of places you'll be going to smile.gif
I'm shooting jpg. (normal), mostly using shutter speed priority laugh.gif

Totally agree with you bro smile.gif awareness is the most important aspect thumbup.gif

But I would recommend bringing and extra battery, because the J1's battery isn't really super heavy duty so bringing along an extra battery is definitely not a bad idea smile.gif

noted on the battery guys, will bring a spare to keep in handy.

Thanks Gerald & Jun thumbup.gif

it's really a nice town for photography, you still get a good balance of greens, scenes and a modern touch here and there smile.gif
