Awesome lens there, very good for portraits  thumbup.gif
A new unit (body only) is around ~RM8050 or higher, so you can just try something around that range, or a bit lower to sell quicker  rclxms.gif

Hi guys, would like to ask abt vintage lenses here. (not really familiar with nikon system)

I have a supertakumar 50 f1.4 which I would like to use on my DF body, it is possible right if I get an adapter (M42-Nikon) and since 35mm both ff lens n body there shouldnt be any crop right. And how about minolta MD (md75-150) lenses (MD-Nikon)? Should be the same too righttt, I don't mind about the AF as long as the aperture/manual/exposure dial mode is usable and working then is good dy smile.gif

I also have the takumar 50 f1.4. Adapted via a m42-nikon.
But, focus to infinity is not possible due to the distance between the sensor and the lens. I got myself the adapter with a glass in between adapter which allow to focus to infinity.
Bought from ebay.

Be aware that the addition of glass on the adapter will causes degradation on image quality if you buy a cheap adapter. Anyway nikon have tons of vintage lens like the non ai .ai, ais lens which I believe your camera can utilize very well. Just my 2 cent haha  icon_rolleyes.gif

thanks for the info!

I still have not much idea on nikon system (what ai, non ai, g / f etc bla abcd), still exploring cos my main system is Sony (using vintage lenses too so far so good, really like them). Since I can't seem to sell away my new DF (there are like 20 ppl+ asking but none can confirm me..lol fedup) so decide to use some of my vintage lenses which i used on my sony on this DF body.. hand itchy already keep in box too long

Here some info that require you heavy reading abit haha
http://www.throughthefmount.com/articles_b...enses_dslr.html
Basically all nikon lens with F-mount should be no problem when mount on your DF camera except the nikon rangefinder camera lens that have S-mount which is totally different mount. So that mean most of the nikon lens should be mount on your DF camera and also have the camera light meter working which is great haha. You might find some good vintage lens at a good price at ebay like nikon 55mm macro f3.5, nikon 135mm f2.8 and much more. Oh no wonder why you have this kind of vintage lens. Yeah saw that your DF selling thread I think the price can buy the other same range nikon full frame camera with more advance focus system, Im not sure tho haha  laugh.gif  laugh.gif sorry write so much haha hope you dont mind  sweat.gif

lol dat link WOT.. sweat.gif blush.gif but i'll bookmark n read later by the morning! thx

so is DF like not really a hot camera now? blink.gif or its just up to personal preference that some ppl like vintage retro style then they'll just get it, kinda confuse, there are other more advanced or better dslr in the nikon family? (given its within the same price range)

DF pretty much like a branded price with reduced function (like video, but we don't care although we mainly shoot images lol)

and people ignored the fact that DF is small size hehe... but they i think also dont care much about size when talk about DSLR XDD

also with that size and price i think you can get FF sony SLT easily right? hmm.gif

true... sad.
I'll just keep that DF then sweat.gif
