Hi, my relative gave me his Nikon D80 coz he didn't use it for a long time already. But there are some problems with the camera like the shutter release button won't take a picture when it is at Auto Focus and at some different modes, pictures taken are just black. Anyone heard of these issues before? I plan to take it for repair but just scared it costs a bomb.

I'm totally a newbie in photography, this is the first DSLR I have ever used. I'm not even familiar with normal digital cameras, only own a passed down Lumix LX5 lol

Want to start learning with old cameras first before I can even think of upgrading.

Thanks, I have locked the AF but still not able to take a pic. I guess gotta send to shop. I googled this prob and many users complain the same thing.
