Thinking of doing woodworking for my home renovation.
1. What are the basic tools to get?
2. Where can i get the wood?
I went to solid wood showroom, the price is quite expensive. Maybe there are some alternative elsewhere.
I'm looking for:
a. pine wood (to make a partition)
b. Hardwood eg meranti etc to make a table/shelves.
c. Veneer wood for feature wall.
3. Is there any software to calculate how much foot run of wood is required for any particular project?

Put it on hold..
Found veneer plywood at Sg buloh factory there.
For pines wood, kerjakayu does sell it.
I just don’t have the equipment, the right way to do it. Just some concept in my mind.

we got the rest of the knowhow /carpenters to help out.
