It is meant to be supported by the Bearlake P/G chipset supporting DDR3 1066, PCI Express 2.0 and ICH9 coming in the Q2 '07.

Obviously, the dx10 instruction set is unified, microsoft doesn't care what the hardware implementation is like. |

QUOTE(blaxez @ Oct 13 2006, 06:16 PM) Technology is really not worth the chase. What i'm hoping for is that NVIDIA or ATI will still keep on developing cards for the PCI-Ex16. Otherwise they are the main culprits in causing enthusiasts or gamers to upgrade Most probably Intel or AMD will be paying them off so there's an urge to push end-users further. The rich can buy what they want, but the ones wif the heads buy value for money item. Sometimes, even get better results when compared to big bucks toys that some rich guy built.
How much can u spend on technology. One minute you're havin' the latest gaming rig, in a couple of months, there'll be new updates. Do you need the upgrade? |

Quite affordable now the price with C2D system..But PCIEX 2.0 still untouchable.....reason is all in freaking x38 platform ( aka burn ur wallet ) |

dont worry PCIE users. your PCIE 1 mobo can still run PCIE 2 card but need 2 sacrifice the performance which means runs the PCIE 1 way instead of PCIE 2 way.
