It is meant to be supported by the Bearlake P/G chipset supporting DDR3 1066, PCI Express 2.0 and ICH9 coming in the Q2 '07.

Obviously, the dx10 instruction set is unified, microsoft doesn't care what the hardware implementation is like.

This is kind of ridiculous. It's too fast already sweat.gif. As i remember there's a long period of transition from AGP to PCI-E.

Now what PCI-Ex32? sweat.gif .. If so hopefully it can be on the same slot so no need upgrade mobo and change everything et. processor, ram, mobo..

It won't be using the same slot as extra pins are needed for the increased bandwidth.

Technology is really not worth the chase. What i'm hoping for is that NVIDIA or ATI will still keep on developing cards for the PCI-Ex16. Otherwise they are the main culprits in causing enthusiasts or gamers to upgrade sweat.gif

Most probably Intel or AMD will be paying them off so there's an urge to push end-users further.
