Should state how your ICE line ups, start from HU, amp, speakers/woofers. If the amp that used to power woofer get blown, it is possible that your woofer input power is way higher than your amp output power, say woofer 500wrms and amp 100wrms. Because of this reason, the woofer only gets 20% load, so it won't have deep bass. When this happens, you will try to 'overload' the amp by turning your HU volume more, end up amp overheated. 'cheap' amps sometimes the thermal cut not good, so some components inside might burn. Well, this is my guess, maybe wrong.

Is rm500 amp cannot last long? Some general statements again whithout facts, I now using a rm200 cap ayam amp to power 4 speakers without any problem for 3 years already. Can check on www.bcae1.com for more infos on amp gains, HU gains, clipping.....

Then is you ask for it, cheap amps if the power rating in rms is low cannot power a woofer with rms way higher than it. It will not give you enough 'kick'. Maybe you should check what is your woofer actual power before you buying another amp. If using a 1000wrms woofer, any rm500 amp also cannot power it nicely.

Yarloh, forgot the indepence will spoilt the amp, but let the amp to overwork also will burn on certain brands of amp when the thermal cut off not function well. I have 1 amp burn because of this. But for sure is an ayam brand amp.
