Let's hope Monday will be a better day.
I will also be cashing out my Maybulk after the bonus issue.
Cash is king. Worried about China bubble bursting.
Wait for next mkt correction.

QUOTE(cky80 @ May 18 2007, 04:41 PM) fuuu....i exited with a loss or RM22. LOL. A lot of existing Equine shareholders are suffering until now because of before restructuring, it is a company called KLIH which has massive capital reduction, (33:1 or something like that can't remember exactly but roughly correct) I think thats pretty good...from RM8K loss on Tuesday. Sweeet.... i think i shall go spend some money now...thank goodness got 2nd chance. HAHAHA...wat to do...noob stock player here. Playing this type of 'goreng' share and try to gain some quick money more relied on its 'goreng' momemtum, never buy when it has cooled down, you hardly can predict its movement. |

Haha what a lucky day for me.
Mistakenly key in the wrong order of buying 100,000 TIME instead of selling 10,000 at .875 as i trade via internet. It scare the shit out of me as the price drop to .86 during the morning session. Lucky i bought at .87 & then managed to sell at .875. So didn't lose money for the mistake as my remiser gave me intra day rate of .15%(commision). But yet i still get a mere profit. If i am that brave, should have some spare money to spend. In the end, managed to sell the 10,000 shares i intended to sell earlier at .88 I SHOULD FEEL GOOD NOW! QUOTE(lipkhin @ May 18 2007, 06:56 PM) the KLCI is showing a uptrend flag/pennant pattern.. But the main problem is volume is shrinking fast which is contradicting. I am more look at the pattern as consolidation. KLCI may be will shoot up in the next few weeks.. any expert techincal analyst here can confirm this? But on fundamental side, the valuation is a bit stretching. One of major reason why foreign investors lure into KLSE is because of ringgit, they can make a double gain as everyone knew at RM3.60+/USD, ringgit is undervalued. If ringgit reach its peak, it might mean as well for the stock market. QUOTE(lipkhin @ May 18 2007, 09:32 PM) Maybulk's Q1 net profit up 3.9% from previous year and drop 24.9% compared to previous quarter, fantastic meh? Yup, when analsye a financial report, it is essential to look at its core business, gain from disposal from asset is one off, can't be repeating every year.FYI, i calculated by excluding RM74 millions of profit from disposal of vessel... Generally, if revenue goes up, profit margin goes up as well then, it is best. No doubt, Maybulk can be a long term investment target, still company performs quite good and dividend yield is also not bad. Some of the financial sector reporting better profit not because of higher revenue, or increase in profit margin, but bad loan write back. Also, like TM and TNB that has lots of foreign currency debt, ringgit appreciation also make a few ten or hundred million of 'unreliased profit' to its financial report, but in reality it is not a real cash gain. As recent Magnum case, it declared handsome dividend (70 cents) not because primary of profit from its core business but rather through disposal of its non-core business which is making some gain from it. That's why market is not so impressed with it. If the dividend is come from the profit from its core business then the share price will shoot up even limit up with that kind of financial report. So sometimes, don't just look at the front headlines, at least need to read a bit details inside to see the health of a company. |

QUOTE(lipkhin @ May 18 2007, 09:32 PM) Maybulk's Q1 net profit up 3.9% from previous year and drop 24.9% compared to previous quarter, fantastic meh? maybulk only got one quarter results (Q1 2007) how to compare to full year profit of 2006? u annualised it?FYI, i calculated by excluding RM74 millions of profit from disposal of vessel... Net profit for the period drop 24.9% compare to Q1 2006? Q1 2007 = 72,347,000 (Excluded 74,000,000) Q1 2007 = 69,931,000 increase 2,41,6000 or 3.45% or u meant 4th quarter results of 2006 higher than 1Q 2007? |
