QUOTE(polarzbearz @ May 10 2015, 07:57 PM) Anyone MNP-ed from Maxis Surfmore to the Celcom FIRST 38 @ Klang Valley? I switched from Hotlink to Celcom around 1 week ago..How's Celcom indoor signal as compared with Maxis? Previously was using Digi and subsequently Umobile which both had terrible indoor signal, which is why I ported to Maxis. But this celcom plan is really worth it, 50 mins 50 sms is just about the usage ratio of mine on a monthly basis, and I only need to pay 38+6% instead of current bill of 50+7~12+6% For what i'm notice that Celcom line switch between 3G,H and 4G quite frequently. Previously using Hotlink, if got 4G mean it will stay there..if no 4G, it will be H all the way until I move to another place.. For the indoor signal, no comment for Celcom, as its very subjective. I noticed few places that I visited, outdoor working fine, got H..but when go indoor, straight no signal.. Overall, I'm satisfied with the plan although frequently switch between 3G/H/4G and some places no signal, but for the price and the offer 3GB+50mins+50SMS..I feel worth it and its the best plan so far.. QUOTE(bingozero @ May 10 2015, 08:51 PM) So far have no clear statement from Celcom..whether it will back to 2GB or not..but who care? Enjoy first..no contract..if really after 6 months no more 3GB, switch to better plan..U wont stay at 1 plan forever right? |

QUOTE(mc_kambeng @ May 12 2015, 12:56 PM) Successfully MNP to Basic 38 within 24 hrs for my gf, but it seems cannot connect to 4G, have to register or something to enable 4G connection? At first the staff in Bluecube told me when successfully ported, have to call Celcom to activate 4G..but when I able to use Celcom, it automatic got 4G already..no need to call also..Maybe you can try to call Celcom to check out.. |

Celcom Basic 38 plan previously I asked Bluecube, the staff there said unused data only can carry forward max 1GB to next month..I would like to correct this info to all the users here..
My previous month data left 2.06GB and its fully carry forward to this month, and this month my total data can be use is 5.06GB.. |

QUOTE(MGM @ May 13 2015, 06:33 AM) This thread is hot lately n I suppose Basic38 is value4money package? If I were to do a MNP, do I need to subsequently inform banks or others(emails) about change of mobile operator? I gather the answer is NO since phone number not changed but I just want to make sure b4 doing MNP. TIA. For Maybank yes, other banks I know no need is CIMB and OCBC..the rest no need.. |
