QUOTE(die_257 @ Mar 14 2015, 11:10 AM) Those are just flyby only @8am++ but still damn impressive to see those birds. At this moment still no rehearsal but based on previous LIMA it was usually done twice a day, once in the morning around 8am/9am and in the evening at 4pm/5pm. Sometimes it may start earlier than that. haha based on the schedule from the Air traffic controller, the rehearsals are heald at noon for the last 2-3 days. But have been getting info that they are up and flying since 9am. My flight in will be at 9am tomorrow. Doubt i got enough time to catch them. Want to make sure i have a rough idea on the formation so i can be more prepared on the actual opening day itself. I believe the flybys are meant for the opening. As for me,my house is very near to airport so no problem to start 'lepak' on the other side of the runway close to the airport staff quarter building once I heard those jets engine roaring. Planning to catch the opening from the lookout point and the next few days from the quarters area to get those take off shots. oh and by the way, got news that TNI-AU has got Su-35 ordered now. A whole squadron of 16 aircraft that is. Source Getting aggressive under widodo eh.. This post has been edited by aztechx: Mar 14 2015, 11:54 AM |

QUOTE(azriel @ Mar 14 2015, 04:29 PM) Correction the Su-35 has not been ordered yet but it has been selected & approved by the TNI, MoD & Commission 1 of the Indonesian Parliament that oversee Defense. Now it is up to the Indonesian Defense Minister to finalize the administration towards the signing of the deal. Apologies for the misinformation earlier. If they really do go through with the purchase, indonesia will actually be a force to be reckoned with. wonder what sort of package will they be getting. |

Did not directly see the crash as ot happened behind me. But the sound was horrible. Some cracking impact before an explosion followed. Crash site was barely a kilometer away. Thank god the pilot and those on the ground were ok
