QUOTE(KYPMbangi @ Mar 19 2015, 03:55 PM) Looks like the fassmer boat is selected ayam actually more happy with this news. hoping they could purchase enough as 1-1 replacement for older ships like Sipadan. bigger ships like gagah samudera are also needed for OPV role as for nsm, i dun give a fark. I personally prefers MM40mkIII but if rmn thinks nsm is superior, then why not. at least them older MM40mkII can be used to equip our SGPV and kasturi class instead

we have 56 astross 2, up to 100 oto melaras,22 G-5 and ant a dozen FH 70. so we do have pretty potent arty capability. we do however need to increase our 155mm arty number(there's like, what? 3 battalion worth?). them korean KH 179 155mm towed arty should be good. cheaper than G-5, as well as getting more 120mm mortar to complement oto melara. then we tok abt SPH

QUOTE(thpace @ Apr 20 2015, 09:38 PM) why not get 18 Self-propelled howitzer I don't think the army will satisfied until we have at least 5 regiments (1 regiment: 18 launcher) of them astross II, 2 stationed in east malaysia while 3 stationed in peninsula. at this rate i think the hueland will even throw blueprint on how to make munitions for our launchers for free. we're one of biggest astross user after all still, sph juga tidak dilupa » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by ayanami_tard: Apr 20 2015, 09:13 PM

QUOTE(James831 @ Apr 25 2015, 11:21 PM) could it be combo of Dokdo class LPH and Gumdoksuri class patrol vessel? both were build by the same Hanjin Heavy Industries, both price tag should be more cheaper than those european. and some more the Gumdoksuri class patrol vessel more fit the bill of a FAC,right? do u guys think the rumors 6 DSME missile corvettes might be replace by this 6 FAC or the plan has been delay? damn thing is going through under SGPV programme

offsets is good because none of our hard money go out, also we can sell our commodity and open up business potential, not to mention helping other industries. thailand paid part of them gripen with thai food while myanmar paid part of them china made stuff( sph, k-8 trainer and some missiles) with copper. cambodia bought some stuff from thailand and they paid partly with scrap metals from UXOs(unexploded ordnance)
some countries accept offsets because thats exactly what they need(palm oil, rubber, metals, etc). some countries accept offsets to make themselves more attractive to buyers.
the only country that afaik dun accept offset deal is US of A

So far the only plausible option is T-90
T-84 is mechanically different(also also more complicated) than T-72. The fact that russia is mothballing their T-80 in favor of modernizing more T-72B into T-90 standard speak volume.

If we wanna go for both volume and also keeping the cost down, Type 96 is indeed a good idea. It weigh less than 50 tonne, use L/44 clone gun(only that it's 125mm to simplify logistics), can fire ATGM and powered by 1000hp powertrain. battleproven summore.
hell maybe they even give us Type 90 blueprint for free

just read this over mp.net mk II http://indianexpress.com/article/india/ind...o-take-off-cag/basically india will have to fight with stick and stone after 10 days. This aspect of military is what fascinates me the mosf, the logistics. sure i oso like seeing new tanks and chopper being bought but if you cannot properly into logistics, they are just there being showpiece and all
