Proposed by Airod and Malaysia's Sukhoi Technical Centre.
- airframe will have be extended 6000 hours from the current 4000 hours. So we could be seeing 2000 hours left in the airframes.
- cft will be add on the aircraft’s dorsal spine aft of the cockpit. 30% increase in combat radius.
- radar, cockpit and avionics will be replace with latest.
- The work would be done in Malaysia under licence from RAC MiG.

i misunderstood the MiGs gonna have 6000 hours after the upgrade...dun need replacement for another 10 years if like that 
2000 hours means around what..? 5-7 years?

These upgrade is not going to be cheap either.
I think it should be costing around usd15mil per aircraft.

more than that, have pay to remove russian system and install western one
and redo the ship system for our harsh tropical climate
unless France going to offer Mistral on cost price and redo the whole system for us FREE, I bet even TLDM wont officers will be interested

yep, but usually military payment divided to few year, for this case discuss with DCNS for 5 year installment term should be fine. but need make first payment should be about euro 200 million for first deposit.
but i think Gov also think yearly cost to operate Mistral too. i heard each month need usd few million operation cost.

We can't afford that mistral class not because of debts but mainly operation cost.
Not to mention we need to buy some escort ship to protect it.
for now we should think about getting 3 lst or 2 ldp.

The Malaysian government has authorized a RM150 Million budget for the Malaysian Fire Department to buy new helicopters for its air fleet. The planned helicopter purchase will be in line with the planned future plan of the Fire Department. The Fire department is interested in seeking more heavy multirole helicopters to help expand its rapid response capabilities. Meanwhile, the Russian export firm Rosobonexport is said to have already started negotiations with the Fire Department on possibly supplying more Mi-171 helicopters.

On a related note, 2 Mi-17 helicopters have been transferred to Miri Fire Department to to help deal with haze and bush fires that may possibly spring up due to the current hot & dry weather.
