400 meter is below several layers of thermocline. Most submarine don't have to worry much about the active sonar as the submarine can usually hear the active sonar at far greater distance than the sonar can detect the submarine. The one they need to worry about is passive sonar, especially a ship with "tail". Depth is important if the sub want to move fast. The high water pressure will reduce the chance of cavitation.

for as if super lucky future get DCNS ocean , than LTZ will very happy liao. laugh.gif
2nd option Scorpene Fuel cell or Li-ion AIP also can.

also only support until Laksamana-class corvette park.
the entry to river seem very small about 25 meter.
if want park more bigger ship, need enlarge river and depth too. (shadow water area)

Pakistani Navy to Purchase Eight New Submarines From China

Pakistani Navy officials said the National Security Committee has given the final go ahead for plans to purchase eight submarines from China. Pakistan has been negotiating the submarine purchase with China since 2011, with initial plans to purchase six, and subsequently raising the number to eight. The plan is viewed as a means to address the country’s force imbalance with India.
surprising,
In some local military Commentator/enthusiast view china military product still in very low level standard.

Well, I'm not quite good in ship knowledge. After make few comparison, length 130m doesn't fit with 13000t displacement. All LPD with 12000t~14000t displacement got >160m length.

well sofar no detail of this ship yet, only few concept picture and a model,
13000 tons and 130mm just guest only.

i guest it should be around 150 meter.

can be said  brows.gif

the newly AWCS ordered by pakistan by china was also incomplete when arrived. It not be fully tested as well laugh.gif

the warship for pakistan by china also have several issues highlighted in local defence

Then again, it what you get for what the price you pay

Now we see the new attack heli "given free" by china on how well it fare in actual combat.
*
well new military hardware got problem starting is normal. it need time to mature.
Then again, it what you get for what the price you pay is not acceptable for now,
we pay so expensive EC725/Scorpene/Su-30/Mig29/Lekiu class also have problem in early. not said like A400M
than US or other country F35/new ship/helos also premium price but also problematic.

f35 is long done over price.. and numerous fixes that lead to another problems. Some even call it the "flying waste of money"

All those issues you highlighted except the MIG29 probably, issues are stamped from own customization needs

The scorpene is due to wear and tear, I not sure why the navy decided to sail the entire sub from France to here rather on a transporter like vietnam kilo. Plus, it not a high endurance sub to begin with.  Maybe enhance crew training in actual operation. What for sure, it can submerge while in france before it reached here

The a400 was still a paper plan when we purchase it. Breaking the norm the air force which usually purchase ready mature products. Again, it said to be a political purchase which i find it quite relevant  whistling.gif

Looks like it will not be a flat-top design.
According to Marhalim's article it is a smaller variant of the Type 071. IMO the design looks similar to the Makassar Class.

well just want to ask,

Audit: Putrajaya burns RM375k with last-minute no-show for chartered flights

KUALA LUMPUR, April 6 — The failure of armed forces’ officers to show up for their flight at the last minute caused Putrajaya to shoulder losses of over RM375,000, the Auditor-General’s first report for 2014 showed.

According to the Auditor-General, the Malaysian Armed Forces spent over RM112 million to charter flights from airlines Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia to shuttle its personnel between Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia, but saw as many as 1,138 officers failing to appear between 2011 to September 2014.

The “firm-fixed-price” foreign military sales (FMS) contract is valued at $296 million.

Indonesia 8 AH-64E $296 million not include equipment and weapon. should be also training. last 2 month also news Indo order helmat for Ah64E.

how much indo pay for ah64E guardian? tbf last time i mention msia better just go for ASH and ah64e in one whole package, both were made by boeing
*
we mostly not buying AH-64E due to the Apahce radar dome (APG78) is Israel tech, some parts also israel.
our PUTD selection if light is AH6i or MD530, if middle range only T129 or Tiger. Mi28h seem to no hope.
