RACE REVIEW - Round 7, Nurburgring
As nothing much happened in G2 race, the following review are based on the race of G1. The race has been an interesting one as there are so many off track moments and also some minor crash and bang between drivers but fortunately all drivers are able to finish the race. Kenny made a good start to move into P1 and he dominated the whole race which only lost his P1 to edwin during pitstops. Kenny was so consistent throughout the race that his car is at the correct side of the track all of the time. Due to tyre wear and some minor crashes, drivers besides kenny has some off track moment but luckily the car is able to continue. As always, there is some accidents during the first corner and this time we cant escape it and it happened to Edwin where he was slightly hitted by raikkonen as raikkonen was entering the 1st corner too fast. During the race, Specter was hit by Edwin and spun out allowing Edison and Raikkonen to gain some positions there but Specter did come back and in the end finish 3rd in the race. Most of the off track moments happened to Raikkonen and there was even once he almost when in to pit after losing control exitting the corner. This has been a good weekend for Team Mclaren Mercedes as they dominated the standings while ferrari has to settle for P2, P5 and P8. Sadly, due to some technical error, only 2 teams competed that race. GKL83 won with just 0.3 sec over young_soul. Woe.com came in 3rd to complete the podium. Before moving on to the next race, let's have a look at the driver's championship. Young_soul is still leading the table but has the lead reduced to 2 points. GKL overtake Adrian to take P2 with 45 points and he has been on the podium 4 races continuously. Adrian is in 3rd with 41 points where he missed this race due to some technical problems. tycheah_7 overtake jiunkei in the standings and moved into P7 with 14 points as jiunkei was also missing from the race due to connection error. We now take a 2 weeks break before moving to Canada on 3rd November 2006. Drivers will now concentrating on improving the cars and setups for coming races. Testing will be done on several tracks and please stay tuned for more information.

Round 8 - Canadian GP Preview
The Canadian Grand Prix was moved to Montreal in 1978, as Mosport Park was thought to be outdated and too dangerous. It was built around the site of Expo 67, and it is a mixture of street circuit and permanent road course. Downtown Montreal is only a stone's throw away. One look at the circuit is enough to tell the story. This track breaks many a car. The first chicane catches out even the best of driver. After 2 weeks break, teams travelled from europe to Canada for the 8 round of LYN F1 Challenge. Great news as there are 3 more new and talented drivers joining the league which are loki,mie2 and jacky5283. They have been testing throughout the 2 weeks with some of the league members. As we can see from the league table, young_soul is the leader but just by 2 points over GKL83 who has been impressive and consistent so far. Adrian was unlucky to miss out the previous race due to some technical problem and hope that this week he will bounce back and get his title hopes in sight. WOE.com also will be pushing hard to get as much points as possible to put some pressure to those leaders in front. As for others, are currently fighting for P5 in the championship. This race will be much anticipated race as there are 2 new drivers joining and after 2 weeks break, who has improved and will young_soul strengthen his lead? Join us for the qualifying at 10pm on 2/11/2006. This post has been edited by jiunkei_46: Nov 2 2006, 02:21 PM

Race Review Group 1 This group consists of mie2, edwin, edison, kenny and specter. Mie2 spun at the first corner and surprisingly there werent any accident at the first corner. At the last corner of first lap, edwin ran wide and edison was able to overtake edwin at the start/finish line. Edwin then try to take back P3 from edison but edison was able to hold off the pressure and maintain that position until he pitted. Edison was the first person to pit. Bad news for newcomer mie2 as he retired during the first lap due to some technical problems. After that, kenny, edwin and specter pit at the same lap. While 3 of them are having their stop, edison was able to leapfrog from p4 to p2 which is unlucky for those mclarens. Edison then pitted from P2 and joined back behind edwin in P4. Specter then followed into the pit from P2 and unlucky to come out at P4. Edison rac wide at 1st corner and specter took advantage of that and moved into P2. Then edison made his 3rd pitstop and came out in p4 as edwin took p3. Edison ran wide several times as he pushed very hard to get p3 but unfortunate, great driving from edwin as he holds his nerve and take the last step of the podium in group 1. As previous, nothing much happened to kenny as he led from the start til the finish line.
Group 2 We have jacky, staggy, lok, adrian and ryugan here in this group. Unlike group 1, this race has quite some incident happened to few racers. All started from the grid. Staggy stalled his car on the grid and then able to continue at last place. Then accident happened at the first corner where Lok was having a slight advantage over adrian but adrian was having the inside line. Unlucky for Lok as adrian clipped him and both ran off the road. Adrian was good enough to resume at P1 as for Lok, he came back to the race track and clipped the incoming gkl and jacky took advantage of this situation and moved into P2, great drive there by jacky. At the last corner of the 1st lap, as adrian was leading, he lost control of his car and hit the wall hard and retired. He was entering the corner too fast and locked his brakes. All drivers were able to avoid his car but unfortunate for staggy as he hits the turned turtle ferrari. Lok was unlucky once again as he retired due to some technical problems. After that, Jacky was leading the race until he pitted and Ryugan took the lead. Since then, it has been a chasing game as jacky and ryugan exchange the lead as they pitted. Then brakes failure on ryugan's car at the first corner allowed gkl to take p2. Then ryugan lost control again and hit the barrier and lost his rear wing and retired from there. Great drive from the newcomer and won the race.
After 8 rounds of racing, lets have a look at the league table. Young_soul aka Kenny is able to extend his lead and is now 7 points ahead of gkl in 2nd place. woe.com is currently lying in p3 while once championship leader adrian is now at p4 after dnf for 2 races. As for constructors championship, ferrari is leading mclaren by just 4 points while another 2 constructors, BMW and Honda was unable to gain any points as they were absent for Canadian GP. Next week, we will move to USA for the 9th round of LYN F1 Challenge. Stay tuned and we will bring you the latest news live from LYN.
