Hmm, to whoever that host this league/f1 virtual championship.

I wanna sign up for the next season, how can i make my dreams come true? F1 is my passion since I was small, and now I just found out of this and wanted to have a big time race with fellow malaysia f1 fans... Could I?

Haha, I realised Kenny was actually young_soul the championship leader after the race O.O!!

Haha, he is good, eventually no mistake in the rest, luckily he got a penalty, if not, i couldn't have won him.

He laps me 1.5 seconds per lap.

that's coz you were using default settings mar...that 1 corner make you lose all that time tongue.gif
besides that, all the other corners you were as quick in default settings

will I even be in the points in Canada sweat.gif
*
Wow, don't be so humble la... The 1:10.8xx time i made is all by luck, i can never do it consistently... And so, racing with rYuGAN, i can't take the pressure for more than 1 lap once he is behind me shakehead.gif

Yo guys...

After listening to advices from Ryugan and Kenny, I've changed my "driving style".

I was doing test day to practice my pits, as I was pushing my hot laps to the limit, guess what... rolleyes.gif

I got a 1:10.218 in Canada... I was on 15L of fuel with tyre wears and fuel usage off. yawn.gif After hours and hours of hard practice, finally I am able compete myself with them already!!! rclxms.gif

user posted image

Argh.. After that I had tried to drive RH2004 BMW Williams with the same settings, I managed to time 1:10.8xx. icon_rolleyes.gif

Seniors, please give me more advices so that I can have more improvement opportunities... thumbup.gif

P/S: Can anyone explain to me what are the differences between Front Wing and Rear Wing?

You can download kimster setups as a base. After that you'll have to modify to suit your own driving style. There is no perfect setup unless you make them.

ryugan: impossible la...consider properly, 15L is around the normal amount of fuel we start with in the fast lap. Jacky made that lap with 15L of fuel all the way to the finish line while our fuel load goes down with every KM done. Nobody can do 1.09 la...if you or me use that setting also impossible tongue.gif
*
Actually i tweaked and tested the settings a few times before i did that lap time, i tweaked the Gear and Wings settings, quite succesful... smile.gif

oo, then you gotta teach me also...coz I onli know how to tweak the wing settings a bit laugh.gif
*
Ok, what i did was decrease the wings from the original settings by 4.

After that i tweaked the gear ratio, i decreased the lower gear ratio to gain fast acceleration and increase the final gear ratio, so i can get higher speed on the staright, but that does not make much difference other than the acceleration part which helps me a lot.

Oh, other than that I used 1 for radiator intake, i cruise on my out lap to keep my engine cool, heat up my engine at the straight on my out lap then push to the limit on my hot lap... That is how I gain that time...

Oh well, anyway I have fuel usage and tyre wear off..

What is Radiator Intake?
QUOTE
Given how complicated cooling management is, you need a good reason to tackle so many contradictory problems, and that reason is aerodynamics. Essentially, we must find the correct balance between cooling and aero performance because the more air we channel through the radiators, the less efficient the overall aerodynamics become. In fact, changing between minimum and maximum cooling can reduce downforce by as much as 5%, which translates to a lap-time deficit of around 0.4s on an average circuit.

Typically, we will run oil temperatures of over 100°C, while pressurising the water system at up to 3.75 bar allows the boiling point to be delayed until around 120°C: running these higher temperatures means we require less airflow through the radiators, thus improving aerodynamic performance. As ever, though, these choices carry a penalty: each extra 5°C of water temperature we run, allowing the radiator outlets to be smaller, robs the engine of over 1 bhp.

jacky, in the aerodynamic setting page (front/back wings), there's the engine temp there. Once you finish a lap, it will show the exact temp of the engine...play around with 1 radiator intake then make another lap with 3 radiator intake. You will see a big difference. I think the engine explodes at 150 degrees laugh.gif

I just saw a pic of F1 cars racing in Laguna Seca!!! Why don't we have that track?? blink.gif

Laguna Seca track damn nice... I raced on there before, i don't know what game i played already... But the track is a beauty..!

Just finished the race with Mie2, Ryugan, Specter, Staggy and Edwin...

Mie2 is damn fast with his gamepad, fastest of all of us in Canada..

The race is full of drama smile.gif but unfortunately only 3 of us managed to end the race, a lot of bang bang...

How to reduce bang?

who finish the race?

To reduce bang, just don't tailgate too close. smile.gif
*
1st - Specter
2nd - Jacky 2+ seconds behind leader.
3rd - Edwin 2.1+ seconds behind leader.

Specter was quite funny in the end... So do the battle between me and Edwin.
The race was awesome.

Ryugan and Mie2 who are the fastest on the track did mistakes and DNF...
If that did not happen, both of them could poosibly win the race.

maybe he was lagging leh. But if suspension fail...hancur ady your race. Better retire...unless there's like 1 lap left. If more than 1 lap left, dun waste your time. tongue.gif
*
Ya lor... Racing online is quite difficult because of lag, and during that time i was hosting for 6 person!!

And the most scary thing of a race is banging..., late breaking... and resuming race after a spin or whatsoever...

I won't overtake after i bumb the person, i will let the person pass through me as the usual distance then i continue to race, that is my principle.

If the person i bang damaged DNF, i will definately go DNF too...

I just saw the replay....ryugan...your fault for spinning on your own leh sweat.gif
summore you bang staggy =.=

jacky...you got a lot to learn about overtaking. That drafting technique out of a corner is virtually impossible to do in F1...
*
I can't do that on F1C?!?! But why Micheal can overtook Kimi in the inside on the 1st corner of 2006 Brazilian Grand Prix, that is an amazing overtaking to do...

I was just learning from him lol... But, i tried a few times to overtake Edwin like that, yes i admit, Failed...
