Just checked my phone bill for last month. Got charged for a few internationl roaming GPRS data transactions which I'm pretty sure I switched off my data on the 6+. Was only using wifi all the while when Iw as in europe, And weird thing was from all the countries that I visted, I got charged in Greece & France only. Called celcom & the representative said it's normal as iphones or android phones will still use data services once wifi signal is weak. I was like wth.. asked her back then what's the point of switching off the data services? Anybody has such issue before? |

QUOTE(sai86 @ May 12 2015, 09:13 AM) wut. that shouldn't be the case. if data is turn off, how the phone can freaking connect to 3g by itself? Ditto but as it was just a small amount and I still have to pay the monthly commitment that's why I didn't pursue further. Besides that it's tiring talking to those celcom idiots. and never encounter this on ip5s (/note 2) during my travel to korea/sg/hatyai (maxis user here) that smell BS to me. QUOTE(attw @ May 12 2015, 12:17 PM) I've been charged for data while roaming in Singapore before, even though data has been switched off. But the charge was very little so I didn't bother bringing it up to the telco. Also, back then was on my Note 3, so far hasn't happened on my iPhone. Yeah mine is also small amount. But then again that shouldn't happened at all. Celcom had the guts to say that it's common. Contacted apple support and was told that it's absolutely impossible once the data has been switched off. |

QUOTE(fnarkaizho @ Aug 7 2015, 06:26 PM) I've just check again last night before i comment to make sure. Same date as the one I checked last 2 months. Good for you then. But then again, things might be different when u send in your phone for repair again haha! Anyway, I don't think u should be too bothered with the warranty period. Enjoy the phone for now! |
