OMG.. I accidentally dropped my nail clipper on my iPhone 6 and it "nailed" my screen. Now it is cracked. What should I do and where should I seek for screen replacement?

How much is it? Could anybody tell me please? Thanks.
*
Did you clip your nails using an anvil? xD Sorry to hear that bro.

anyone experience slow whatsapp ? notification already seen, but when open the apps, need so much time to load again ?
*
I am. It takes a long time to load one message. And while it's loading it's just frozen there.

Hmmm... Could that be the reason why iPhone has a more power efficient standby mode compared to Android?
*
I guess this is what makes it power efficient although it's a bit counter productive and redundant.

i noticed one small issue with my whatsapp.

basically we all set our own nickname in whatsapp right, so whats happeng is let say:-

1) i saved my friend's phone number as Mr A in my contacts.
2) my fren however set his name is whatsapp as Mr Tom Cruise
3) whenever i received whatsapp notification, it should appear as Mr A in my phone however the problem is the notification shows as Mr Tom Cruise! This really confuse me lol.

anyone experience this and managed to find fix for this? or it just happen to me. lol

Thanks!

I think this is how WhatsApp works. It's very annoying. Before this it was set to contact name. Don't know why Whatsapp changed it ...

No issue here. Why don't try download the app instead.
*
the app doesn't allow for manual account entering. I have to save the receiving end as favorite then only can bank in using app.

crash issue on iP6+.
call answering is probably not a lag. It's just a feature to allow you to move from your finger swiping to your ear comfortably with intended delay/lag
*
mine ok. Swiped to and fro twice no crash. Panorama, slow mo, square. No crash with assistive touch and 60 fps.

Just installed the beta of iOS 9. Starting to sound like a broken record but I think they may have finally optimized the 6+ enough for the device to load CIMB desktop.

iOS 9 is fine. Although I suggest you don't update if you have an insanely big WhatsApp backup. Because that is just a pain in the rear end to restore. For iPhone 6+ the multitask switcher lags, a lot. Out of topic, after jailbreaking, I ran my iPhone 6+ at 5S resolution, everything is so much smoother T_T

Thats the whole point of making the entry level iphone at 16GB. Make you buy the more expensive 64GB.  laugh.gif
Well, IOS 9 is still at beta stage. So hopefully it works well the the 6 and 6+ when it is officially launched then. OR it is made to run with 2GB ram making all 6/6+ users upgrade to the new 6S and 6S+.  tongue.gif
*
That 2GB RAM is tempting. So...very...tempting.

Meaning it runs in zoomed mode kinda way? Quite curious to know how does it work...
*
Yeah it's super zoomed. It's like a gigantic feature phone.

Tried googling but haven't got an understandable answer

Is it possible to buy an iPhone from the US and use it here?

The only difference I'm looking at is the price and the regional lock thingy
*
It is possible if you buy an unlocked version of the phone. Unlocked meaning you didn't buy it together with any US telco e.g. verizon, AT&T.

I find it funny that Apple is preparing extra for the 6S launch. The iPhone 6 made a statement was a total success. to me they've already reached the pinnacle. As the market gets more saturated, they'll slow down from here. It's going to be interesting to see how they manage from now on.

i don't mind it being thicker. even if it is, i highly doubt it'll be that drastic. can you imagine the look on people's faces if they decide to stick with 1gb RAM for the new model hahah. the sheeps will be like "we don't need extra RAM, iPhone doesn't lag bla bla". i think the current battery life is okay, it's just the external apps' battery management that's problematic, like Whatsapp. but if Apple manages to extend the battery life even more, who's complaining! i'd welcome it with open arms haha. i'm okay with the current camera. it's good enough as it is, wouldn't imagine what an average user would do with more megapixels and higher resolution videos. not sure how force touch will work with other apps though. some games require rapid tapping (Injustice), so wouldn't ForceTouch affect that?
*
These sheeps probably bought the phone JUST to browse Facebook, Instagram and edit their food photos and/or selfies. I on the other hand (and also a majority of other people) do WAY MORE than what the so-called "average user" does. Some of you guys are fitness junkies, I am an app junkie, I post lots of entries, write stories, listen to music, my to-do list is in there, my games, movies, all that jazz. That 1GB RAM is honestly a choking hazard at this point. Before this iPhones had like what, 1136x640 resolution? If an Android runs at this resolution I'm pretty sure the lagginess issue can be bogged to down to feasible levels. And now the iPhone 6+ has Full HD resolution. And because of Apple's weird way of doing things, the iPhone 6+ actually runs HIGHER than Full HD resolution and downscales it on-the-fly. Who in the right mind would put 1GB of RAM? Oh right, Apple. Now I'm not complaining about how Apple does things but I do have a problem when people say "iPhone doesn't need RAM bla, bla, bla, iPhones aren't laggy bla, bla, bla." I have had my music stuttering whenever I switch apps. My games go down to less playable FPS whenever a notification comes in (go translucency effects!) and the infamous CIMB website not loading on my 6+ but is able to load on my very old iPhone 4.

P. S. If you made it to the end, I just want to say thank you for reading and have a nice day!

Did anyone hear about the alleged iPhone 6S benchmark showing only 1GB of RAM? I saw it on Flipboard yesterday I think. I hope it's fake because I could do away with Force Touch in favor of another GB of RAM. No RAM no buy because that is a choke point no matter how fast LPDDR4 is.

New details have just surfaced

2GB RAM and a tri-core A9 processor. Scored higher than the iPad's processor

P.s. Just had my music stutter as I type this reply. Not even 1 year and my iPhone is already slowing down. Smh

Iphone 6 only has 1GB RAM. So don't open too many apps cos it will slow down your processor. Double click your home button and close down apps you seldom used.
*
It certainly doesn't help with the 6+'s higher resolution either and if I wasn't jailbroken right now I'd lose my hair already swiping countless of apps to end.
