QUOTE(attw @ Mar 17 2015, 01:22 PM) There would be an announcement in the next 6 months or so as traditionally iPhones are announced in September. If I were you at this stage I would wait, even of you don't buy the new ones., the older ones get a slight price reduction Still a long wait though for September.. Yeah i forgot it's a tradition now that a new one is always released/announced on September. Gotta decide soon. This post has been edited by Rei7: Mar 17 2015, 01:38 PM |

QUOTE(THTgadgets.com @ Mar 17 2015, 03:35 PM) It's already mid-March and if you can wait, September's when the new iPhones are launched. With their Malaysian debut usually happening a month or two after that! QUOTE(jrlogger @ Mar 17 2015, 05:15 PM) Depends. If you think it will be a huge upgrade to change phones now, better pull the trigger... With GST Coming soon and the RM. True that, I forgot about waiting for it to be release in Malaysia.. I remember waiting in line to be the first to own an Iphone 4 in KLCC a few years back Waiting for the September iPhones is a better choice if your current phone is fine. However, keep in mind that the Malaysian launch is much later, plus the initial low stocks... Might be a while before you can get the color and capacity you want. Yeah I know it's kinda late a bit, but I don't think the S version is gonna be much of a difference anyway. Not until 7 comes out QUOTE(ahwang12321 @ Mar 17 2015, 08:05 PM) i cant decide too Haha ex iPhone 4 user also, but add 3G there as well.i really miss iphone , ex iphone 4 user the apps is amazing and more quality compared to android apps android have all this stupid apps , its like any kind of apps will get approved no matter how bad When I was switching and trying Android decided to try Nexus 7 first to see how the ecosystem is and customization. Didn't like it that much compared to iOS. But still ok la compared to Windows Phone.. In the end I go with Windows Phone though.. lol! Since the camera is what is most important that time, |

QUOTE(xzero12345 @ Mar 25 2015, 02:02 AM) Latest 8.2. For new phones, new update is alright. Unless you're using old phone like iP4s or something, might need feedback first because it's not well optimized, and freaking slow. That happened to my old iPad 2, it's like they ask me to upgrade a new one by making it slower.Your phone brightness? Mines pretty low. That might play a role in why your battery is draining. |

QUOTE(xzero12345 @ Mar 25 2015, 08:13 PM) Went to service center and technician advice me to restore again and use only preinstalled app. If battery still only last for 6 hours then can claim warranty. Plan to use my warranty and change my battery. but before i proceed would like to ask if i use up my warranty after the repair, is my phone still under warranty support? Or after you used it then no more warranty from apple? You get additional 3 or was it 6 months warranty on top for your current warranty. Not sure still the same or not, but Maxis does give it, last time I claimed mine. Make sure you backup the data on iTunes before claiming. They'll give you a new iPhone, not change the battery. This post has been edited by Rei7: Mar 26 2015, 01:14 AM |

QUOTE(akkihiko @ Mar 26 2015, 07:53 AM) forgot to mention this, by new set usually they will give you a refurbished set as a replacement. Looks new but it's not new phone. Not entirely true though. If there is no refurbished set they will definitely give a brand new one right on the spot, which is my case last time. Refurbished aren't bad as well as they are checked and has new parts in it anyway. Sad thing there is no way of telling if it's new or reburbished set. |

QUOTE(ddr3 @ Mar 27 2015, 12:28 AM) just chat with them, and the person who served me said taht he also got 10-15 hours of usage time and claimed that mine is not normal and should bring it to the center to check For me 10% of battery equals to 1 hour and 30 minutes of heavy usage. Games, browsing and others. I could get around 13-15 hours as well. My bluetooth is always on as well, since I'm using Pebble watch to get push notifications on the phone on the go.I still testing my iPhone battery as well and keeping a close eye on it. Not gonna charge until it is at 2-3 percent. Gonna see how much usage I can squeeze out of all the battery juice. |

QUOTE(xzero12345 @ Mar 27 2015, 12:47 AM) Wow impressive! Mine 30-40 minutes 10% gone How is the battery at the beginning of your purchase though?Actually mine during CNY already start battery problem but i thought it was normal to get only 6-7 hours usage time, until i saw other users posted insane battery usage 9,10 even 13 hours of usage time. Good luck to you and me hopefully our battery can be fixed Or you didn't notice until half way owning it |

QUOTE(xzero12345 @ Mar 27 2015, 01:09 AM) At the beginning i didn't really care about the battery, still excited first time using iphone. Then when i realized i have to charge my phone twice a day im getting frustrated. In the end found out that my battery is not normal compared to the other user. I see. That is exactly what i'm trying to avoid right now. I just purchase mine less than a week ago. Having to charge twice a day is really a big issue. Should only need to charge once, and you are good for the whole day. |
