These sheeps probably bought the phone JUST to browse Facebook, Instagram and edit their food photos and/or selfies. I on the other hand (and also a majority of other people) do WAY MORE than what the so-called "average user" does. Some of you guys are fitness junkies, I am an app junkie, I post lots of entries, write stories, listen to music, my to-do list is in there, my games, movies, all that jazz. That 1GB RAM is honestly a choking hazard at this point. Before this iPhones had like what, 1136x640 resolution? If an Android runs at this resolution I'm pretty sure the lagginess issue can be bogged to down to feasible levels. And now the iPhone 6+ has Full HD resolution. And because of Apple's weird way of doing things, the iPhone 6+ actually runs HIGHER than Full HD resolution and downscales it on-the-fly. Who in the right mind would put 1GB of RAM? Oh right, Apple. Now I'm not complaining about how Apple does things but I do have a problem when people say "iPhone doesn't need RAM bla, bla, bla, iPhones aren't laggy bla, bla, bla." I have had my music stuttering whenever I switch apps. My games go down to less playable FPS whenever a notification comes in (go translucency effects!) and the infamous CIMB website not loading on my 6+ but is able to load on my very old iPhone 4.
P. S. If you made it to the end, I just want to say thank you for reading and have a nice day!
damn you've really kept all that anger in for a while haha. the sheeps must've gotten under your skin. you know how the sheeps are; Apple can do no wrong. they'll be all "we don't need to do it, so we don't have to". yeah, 1gb RAM is definitely not enough. my apps keep refreshing whenever i open 1 or 2 more apps, which is highly irritating. random app crashes also occur. and the saddest part is that they will never follow the current standard and will do things in sequence; from 1 to 2, 2 to 3, and so on. they could've just jumped to 3gb or 4gb RAM instead. and at 2015, it'll just be 2gb RAM.
and yes, i read it all. you're welcome and have a nice day yourself.
iphone thread is so quiet la... Android users seem like very active
there's easily 10 new high-end Android phones a year with varying ROMs, not to mention the custom ones. adding up to that is Android Wear which is slowly picking up steam. so of course they would have more going on which is good. you can see all the innovation going on with one trying to outdo each other through cool tech (built in projectors, curved display, etc) and new features. Apple on the other hand release 1 (if the Plus counts as totally different model, then 2) phone a year. so once the hype is down, that's it. but the hype during the hour of its release is quite intense though haha. i remembered when the 6/6+ was first available for sale last year. from 10pm to 6am non stop haha
Guys, a few users here (and non-users) are facing problems downloading/updating apps in the App Store via Unifi. Can you guys try it out and see if you guys can download an app? You guys can start off by trying to download a small app/game (2mb-10mb) and see if it downloads. If it does, try downloading a larger app/game (500mb-1gb). Please report your finding in this thread. Please provide as much information as possible. The very least you guys can do is provide your findings as such;
Small app: Successful (fast, average speed, really slow) / Fail (Stuck at waiting, keeps circling, etc)
Big app: Successful (fast, average speed, really slow) / Fail (Stuck at waiting, keeps circling, etc)
It will be the damn joke of the year if the next model only comes with 1gb RAM. More reason to stick with the current 6/6 Plus (not that i'm planning to change anytime soon but still the idea of 1gb is laughable)

Iphone 6 only has 1GB RAM. So don't open too many apps cos it will slow down your processor. Double click your home button and close down apps you seldom used.
That's the problem man; if they know that the amount of RAM can't handle too many apps, why put 1gb in the first place? Why not put 2gb from the get go? It's not the users' fault wanting to run lots of apps
Sounds plausible but always be prepared to face the worse case scenario. Cause right now is like 50-50 with one saying 1gb while the other is saying 2gb. Anything can happen, just like Apple deciding to stick with a 8mp camera for 4 years running.. Totally did not expect the 6 to still run on a 8mp camera hahaha
At this point I'm more concerned about the phone costing an arm and a leg rather than the specifications, ha ha...
If you're using a 6/6 Plus, you should be able to last till the 7 or 7S (if my phone is really holding up i may hold on till the 7S as well). Cause from here on out is merely incremental upgrades, nothing major from what i expect.

Just curious, are there still any bendgate issues with iPhone 6?
Since they did not change anything since launch, i would say yes; bendgate is still an issue and a risk the 6/6+ will have to face. It's just that most of us here are extra careful, with their Lifeproof lah, Thule lah, Tough Armor this and that lah haha. Or we're just plain lucky..
Ahh.. considering the price has dropped with Maxis plan i was considering the 6... looks like i'll be waiting for the 7 hoping they won't re-adjust the price again with our weak MYR..
Well you can definitely go for the 6 now, especially if the price is cheap and if your phone is due for an upgrade. You just have to be extra careful; use strong cases, careful where you put it, etc. I know i tend to focus on the negatives of the 6 most of the time, but all in all it's still a good phone. Wouldn't have invested in expensive cases and screen protectors if i didn't like it. I just hoped it would perform than it should, yknow. But i still like it and enjoy using it.
