My casing has socket/mounting(or whatever u call it..) for 1x80mm fan(front, intake) and 1x80mm(rear,exhaust). Now I wanna replace the 80mm fans with 120mm ones.

What do u suggest I can do to fit these 120mm fans? I was thinking of sticking it with glue but scared they'll fall off later on.

Until the P150 arrives here, pls don't ask me to change casing cause I love the look on my current casing. wub.gif

thx !

Cut a bigger hole over the existing 80mm hole, then drill the screw mouting holes n woala, a 120mm fan mouting.

Ah you're the saviour notworthy.gif
After searching I found there is such a thing as "casing fan adapter", or funnel. Now the concern is whether these adapters are sold in Low Yat ..... unsure.gif

I suggest you get good silent casing fan with high CFM rather than using adaptor,

Which make more noise and dont give much different, unless you are saying mounting 120mm fan on a 80mm HSF, that is reasonable

Try to get 80mm with atleast 9 blades and it should have speed control, this will helps to keep your case cool wink.gif

Some 120mm fan produce more noise than 80mm fan.
Unless u r getting silent fan but the CFM might be lower.
As suggested by blackshirt try to get silent fan wif high CFM

my only concern is that the adaptor/funnel or whatever is evely shaped, but if the mounting for intake is right at the bottom of the casing, how are you going to put the adaptor??

what do you mean? you mean you have a 8cm blowhole below and you want to suck air from the hole using a 12 cm fan? well. funnel adaptors are great to retain the casing design while ultilizing a bigger fan. but do take note that there might not be improvement in noise reduction. instead it'll interfere with the flow of air and causes turbulance. this will generate more noise. so my advise is to mod the hole for a bigger blowhole

Your fan hole facing down to the floor? shocking.gif rclxub.gif

Then it will be useless, making more noise and wasting power sweat.gif
