Ok, I am seriously confused now.
The guidelines at the GST Custome website mentioned that Topup price will not be charged GST.

However, suppliers of Topup cards are telling dealers to charge the 6%.
RM10.00 -> RM10.60...etc

Then there are articles saying no changes to pricing even with GST!

So, which is which?

So is GST applicable to reload for prepaid?  Till now seems no firm answer. Anyone has clue?

(in no particular order).

So, it will take them one month or so to solve this situation. When it can be done is just less than an hour.

Sigh.....

This morning I bought 2x RM30 Digi topup from 7Eleven. Not charged by GST though. Paid exactly RM60.

Yeah, because 7 11 changed the system yesterday, but the announcement from the Ministry came later that the Telcos chooses [Topup amount] + 6%. And with that also giving 6% more airtime.

And today, the news is that they will take 1 month to sort this situation out.

i think one of the the reason is
1 - finish reload card with GST stock eg RM10 + GST 6% = RM10.60
2 - print new reload card with GST but less credit RM10 with GST with RM9.40 inside

3. - ready new internet plan like sabery chik said price less 6% quota more than 6% something like that

4. We the Telcos are greedy bastards and we care more about the money than our own mothers!

Can someone tell me which Prepaid is adding 6% and which is absorbing 6%?

Digi & Maxis is EXAMPLE: RM10.00 + RM0.60.

Umobile is EXAMPLE: RM10.00 (GST included)

What about Celcom? Altel? and the others?

This is bloody confusing and my customers are getting angry at me. My boss just say, charge 6%.

Some customer face turned sour when I mentioned adding GST.
And my supplier just said "All add 6% and you are good to go." in that context.

I think I will tell my boss to stop selling Topup (Hehehe, as if he will listen to me ;P). Bloody Government can't solve something like this.

sigh.
