The heatpipe cooling is perfectly fine. You don't have to worry about the NB/MOSFETs heating up unless:

1) Your casing ventilation sucks
2) You are going to overclock alot

In either case you should:

1) Get more fans/change your casing
2) Place fans on the heatpipe radiators
3) Replace with a better chipset HSF (JingTing, HR-05, etc)

AMD X2 is very cool. No need to worry about that. The stock HSF fan works just fine if u don't overclock. N the Asus mobo heatpipes work just fine too. My A8N32SLi is using heatpipes too, the temps r ok even though my mobo is upside down in my Lian Li V1200 case. It's only if ure using water cooling that u need to plug in the optional fan for the heatpipe radiator.

I would rank changing the thermal paste and replacing the bubblegum as higher priority tongue.gif

This is from my P5B Deluxe. Only half the NB cooler made contact with the chipset and only 1 mosfet actually properly contacts the bubblegum doh.gif

Yeah dude, I agree on the bubblegum long thermal strip. I think it keeps heat on the mosfet than conducting it off. Even the X1900 XTX and XTs use it. Its sucks seriously.....

not those consumable chewing gum..

BTW..i still blur wat u wanna ask...
u asking need fan for ur Processor or mother heatpipe.

if motherboard heatpipe.. dun worry much...

for processor...if u are using AMDx2...stock HSF are good enough...
unless u wan overclock it.

i believe OP is confused
the heatpipes on the mobo only cools the mosfets n chipset on the mobo itself
while ur proc will come with a separate heatsink with a fan

Yup...damn troublesome. There's not enough pressure to use thermal paste so I changed them to some good ol tape.
