hi guys, currently I am farming insects larvae (Black Soldier Fly) to feed my farm animals such as chicken and ducks due to its high contents of protein. a single larvae contains 40-45% protein by weight, and between 15%(roasted)-30%(live) of fats depending on cooking style.

the adult fly of black soldier fly is not the same as house fly, they dont eat so they dont carry desease.

I have done some reading on the web that the pupae(the last stage before the insect become adult) are edible for human consumption.

https://www.exoprotein.com/

this company is making protein bar using ground cricket flour.

I plan on inventing some edible snack like eating nuts by roasting these pupae.

i foresee this is a great alternative of protein source where we can grab and eat them on the go.
