It doesn't seem like he's actually evil but rather being "persuaded" by Quintessa to be on the path of "redemption" for something he has done. You can clearly hear him saying "Forgive me" when he attack Bumblebee. I just hope there's more storyline to it rather than unnecessary action sequences .

Chances are Prime will end up severely damaged/dead and floating in space at the end of the movie as seen in the previous trailer...("Optimus Prime has left us") Maybe that's why we have Hot Rod in this movie

My take on that topic is that Bee could already speak normally (since end of movie 1), it's just that he's really an ass and chooses not to

I wouldn't bite too much into the "forgive me" with the scene OP attacked BB. Bay has a habit of mismatching scenes and speeches purposely to stir confusion and unpredictability in movies.

... and I also doubt that HotRod will replace Optimus Prime like how he did in the cartoons. It just isn't "economically-sound" for Hasbro because then, they will have one less figure to sell. Besides, until now, I haven't seen any HotRod toys around eh?

for hot road toy, they just dont want to show u how he will look like in the movie, yet.

He's supposed to die in the cartoon movie. But then they had to walk it back after parents went on rampage because it made their kids cry Which is also why I kinda lost interest in G1 post movie era.

Ok. I just bought mt despotron instead of mp36. Awesome figure and no regrets!

Guys any of you took out Bulkhead neck pin?
Been knocking on it but it wont budge, no movement at the other end.
ie nothing coming out at the other end
Want to remove the pin so that the head can turn.
Any advise/tips??
