  My Verdict
    Would i recommend this figure? Depends. I Won't Lie my head off unlike some owners saying the item doesn't have any issues at all.  Firstly, there are people complaining of getting floppy legs (major issue). Easy fix for this. Check the legs immmediately when buying at local toy store. Secondly, transformation/foldings of the feet for the gestalt mode is a mess. Paint job a bit sloppy. Whether or not this figure can withstand Stress & Wear issue only time can tell.

    On the bright side, its an Updated G1 Motormaster . Good plastic quality compared to other 3p production.If you like G1, then it suits you just fine. Robot mode is great and very pose-able. Gestalt mode is Compatible with CW or UW Menasor Limbs.
*
Well fret not. Heard BoldForms is going to make some compatible limbs which scales much better with Lonewolf but as you know with all 3rd party it all depends if the idea gets green light to go through with the production rolleyes.gif. I pretty felt sad that Beelzeboss's Hot Air (Slingshot) didn't make it in the end sad.gif. Hopefully their upgrade kit for CW OP and Generations Nightbeat doesn't meet the same fate unsure.gif.

True. The prices Toyrus puts up is simply throat slitting. But of course, if you are only looking for that one individual member then i think Toysrus is a good place to go. Most hobby shops nowadays don't sell these members separately.

Does anyone know if the TRU MP11 Starscream is coming to Malaysia?

X2O has a preorder for a loose version of it, but RM440. Expensive lah, especially because no box.

The actual release in US is only $60!

On the topic of MP Starscream, is the Hasbro MP7 Starscream using the same mold as the Takara MP11 Starscream?

Loose version as in, all accessories complete just without the box or just plainly the figures itself?

I don't know if RM440.00 can be considered as expensive since Acid Storm and Sunstorm is already selling at between RM350.00 to RM400.00 each and that is for a side character which only appeared for less than 2 minutes an in one episode laugh.gif

Although the MRSP is USD60 but that price hasn't take into account the shipping costs as well. If i'm not mistaken, shipping costs would hit about RM150.00 to RM180.00 depending on carriers.

So if we blindly take the conversion rate then the price would be around:-

USD60.00 = RM240.00

RM240.00 + RM180.00 = RM420.00

Nonetheless, i highly doubt that when it hits TRU stores, it will be any cheaper. TRU aren't exactly known for their competitive price.

I wouldn't say it's the same mold. There is a huge difference between the MP7 and the MP11. Save to say, the MP11 is far superior than the MP7.

Don't know if it comes with accessories - the post did not mention. For that price I sure hope so!

The shipping cost you're mentioning would apply to shipping it from overseas as an individual, but it's the incorrect calculation to use when we're talking about sellers or retailers importing it in bulk. They do not transfer the cost to buyers in that way, because their bulk shipping costs also are nowhere near there. If anything we buyers would only absorb a fraction of that plus import tax and GST.

As for the margin of TRU's MP price markups, they have been inconsistent from what I remember. Some like Soundwave were competitive compared to their original US prices. But then MP Prowl was an insane markup of nearly double.

If I had to guess, I'd agree with you though. Given the popularity of the character... I'll be surprised if they skip the chance to goreng Starscream.

I took the liberty to ask x2otoys myself and the reply is that the "package" comes with MP-11 itself together with the stand (manual maybe). all of these packaged in sealed wrappers and it has been warned that the figures may have the paint chipped off or worst, damaged so if I were you, I wouldn't take the risk. paying RM440.00 for something with so much risk it definitely not worth the gamble.

about the shipping costs, i'm not really sure if it's going in your favor. take the CW Devastator for example. it was retailed in the US for USD150. after conversion at the rate when it was opened for pre-order (3.8?, could be lower) so;

USD150 = RM570.00
It was estimated by hobby shops here in Malaysia that the price would be around RM650.00 - RM680.00 even then.

the difference between RM680.00 and RM570.00 would be the shipping costs and profits. It may not be exactly the sum I assumed but it's not too far off.

I guess, TRU priced their toys based on the demand/supply theory and given the reputation Starscream has, I wouldn't be surprised if it was retailed at RM600.00. Heck, that YOTG Soundwave was retailed at RM500+ (if I remembered correctly).

well, if hobby shops aren't getting their hands on these exclusives then you have no choice but to import them yourselves and courier companies don't really care if it's individual figures or with the box, they will place the figure in a box for you.

whatever it is, now is not the time to buy figures from the US. let's see if Takara will make an reissue. MYR to YEN is not that crazy.
