Is Maxis Fiber good for playing WOW? Is connection speed good and is there any frequent disconnection? Am thinking of getting Maxis because it is cheaper than Unifi.

I've been using Maxis HOME for more than 2 years already.

For WoW, in Oceanic realms, lately, as in for the past 2 months or so, my latency has always been 108-110 for both Home and World.

But sometimes the routing can be bad, which would result in 260 Home.

When you're playing in US west coast it's about 140-160.

Looks good for our typical ping time.

Maxis is occasional. The pathping from 14-Jan to 28-feb is unplayable with 1800ms and constant dc, many paths return packet loss. From 1st March to 20+ March it was good with 108ms ping. Then since 31 March, the pathping with packet loss returns for about 2-3 days. Now it is normal. So you can play wow on maxis when it is not routed badly. But on days it has bad routing, it couild last for more than a month and game becomes really hard to play.

I end up disputing with maxis. They could not fix things in time, so they offer me rebate of RM 60 for the month I could not play wow.

Those were the results of the 2 submarine cables cut at different times. Everyone had the same issues not only Maxis. Maxis giving me and my guildmates 80-100ms without tunnel playing on AU servers.

Anyone tried playing on USA servers like Proudmoore or Illidan? How is maxis ping time?
