Editing software tat can add sound to an silent video

Just use virtualdub to mux the audio and video together.
1. Open the video with vdub. 2. Under Audio, select WAV Audio... and load your wave file. 3. Make sure both video and audio are using direct stream copy. You don't want to reencode. 4. Under File, click Save as AVI... 5. Done.

For that you'll need any decent video editing software e.g. Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Ulead Videostudio, etc. etc.
Regarding divx codec support, there might be issues importing them into these editors. I normally use vdub to convert them to another format then import into Vegas.
