Anyway, when I visited McDonald's websites of different countries, I noticed that almost all of them are giving away free burgers on National Breakfast Day (9 March 2015), EXCEPT Malaysia.

On a side note, McDonald's Malaysia announced a postponement and reschedule of National Breakfast Day 2014 due to unforeseen circumstances. AND, it never happened again.

It seems like Malaysian market is getting less relevant and significant to them from day to day. All these special burgers (Prosperity, Samurai, Spicy, Wrap) are recycled every year as "new products", National Breakfast Day was cancelled and now they abandoned Heinz tomato sauce.

According to the forummer in this thread, they are switching to another local brand.

McD Malaysia follows a formula to introduce recycled "new" products
1. Prosperity Burger [then double the patty]
2. Samurai Burger [then double the patty]
3. McSpicy and Ice (Ice Cream Float) [then double the patty]
4. Black Pepper McSpicy [then double the patty]
5. Chicken McDeluxue [then double the patty]
6. Chicken Foldover

and repeat x100 with the introduction of Yam, Pineapple Pies in between them

I noticed that too, but I'm not too sure if this is a legit source because The Racket Report seems to be a satirical website. Also, the alleged dog meat burger cannot be found on McD Korea website or any credible news sources.

We won't. McD M'sia won't spend time to introduce localised food products or new stuffs in general.

because most local McD consumers are satisfied with whatever McD Malaysia offers.

Nop, McD SG is also Halal-certified and yet they can introduce many different new products every year.

Since some countries are not included, I wouldn't say it is "all". Comment is edited to include the word "almost". Thanks for pointing out the mistake.

I don't think McD Malaysia will make a change nor accept our opinions.

I have to agree on this. KFC Malaysia introduces new products from time to time and is comparatively more innovative and localised than McD Malaysia.

Hmmm let's think of a new recycle the same product!


No more idea? Let's double up the patties and market it as new products!


What? You need more idea? Let's add some black pepper on the patties and TADA! Black Pepper Spicy Chicken McDeluxe!


OH last but not least, put a logo or label of "Limited Time" to make it look as new as it was.

That's exactly the reason why McD Malaysia refuses to innovate and sticks to its recycled menu offerings every year. No demand, no supply.
