Anyway, when I visited McDonald's websites of different countries, I noticed that almost all of them are giving away free burgers on National Breakfast Day (9 March 2015), EXCEPT Malaysia.

On a side note, McDonald's Malaysia announced a postponement and reschedule of National Breakfast Day 2014 due to unforeseen circumstances. AND, it never happened again.

yea. not sure whether it is heinz
the new one is a local product "Tropicana"
used to crave for double cheese burger once in a while

the new sauce potong stim... thank you whoever suggested the new stupid sauce
*
It seems like Malaysian market is getting less relevant and significant to them from day to day. All these special burgers (Prosperity, Samurai, Spicy, Wrap) are recycled every year as "new products", National Breakfast Day was cancelled and now they abandoned Heinz tomato sauce.

McD Malaysia follows a formula to introduce recycled "new" products
1. Prosperity Burger [then double the patty]
2. Samurai Burger [then double the patty]
3. McSpicy and Ice (Ice Cream Float) [then double the patty]
4. Black Pepper McSpicy [then double the patty]
5. Chicken McDeluxue [then double the patty]
6. Chicken Foldover

and repeat x100 with the introduction of Yam, Pineapple Pies in between them

TS, you are missing out one more new addition for McD Korea

I noticed that too, but I'm not too sure if this is a legit source because The Racket Report seems to be a satirical website. Also, the alleged dog meat burger cannot be found on McD Korea website or any credible news sources.

https://www.facebook.com/snopes/posts/608053396005850 (It's a hoax according to some sources)

soon we will got McD KangKong
*
We won't. McD M'sia won't spend time to introduce localised food products or new stuffs in general.

because most local McD consumers are satisfied with whatever McD Malaysia offers.

There are only so many things you can serve from chicken and beef. Also the difficulty to get other ingredients which are certified. After that if its too new an item they have to convince customers that it is safe to consume. So better recycle already accepted products, less headache and stress.
*
Nop, McD SG is also Halal-certified and yet they can introduce many different new products every year.

Since some countries are not included, I wouldn't say it is "all". Comment is edited to include the word "almost". Thanks for pointing out the mistake. smile.gif
* Different countries as in Asian countries (territories), including Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, UAE, Turkey, India and Pakistan.

How to suggest McD Malaysia to intro more new variety of food? Besides burger and porridge... why not rice with chicken?
*
I don't think McD Malaysia will make a change nor accept our opinions.

I have to agree on this. KFC Malaysia introduces new products from time to time and is comparatively more innovative and localised than McD Malaysia.

Like leetan mentioned, the meats aren't the problem, the ideas are.

Other countries can actually think of innovative menus. Over here, the same food every year. I dunno if they're scared to try out new stuffs or are just lazy to R&D. Some barbecue sauce? Oh, Beef Samurai. Chilli Sauce? Chicken McSpicyVolcano. You get the picture.

Come to think of it, have we seen anything refreshing over the years?
*
Hmmm let's think of a new recycle the same product!
user posted image

No more idea? Let's double up the patties and market it as new products! rclxm9.gif
user posted image

What? You need more idea? Let's add some black pepper on the patties and TADA! Black Pepper Spicy Chicken McDeluxe!
user posted image

OH last but not least, put a logo or label of "Limited Time" to make it look as new as it was.

And people still buy! Cause they know Malaysians love fast food that's cheaper than chap fan rclxm9.gif
*
That's exactly the reason why McD Malaysia refuses to innovate and sticks to its recycled menu offerings every year. No demand, no supply.

They don't have our huge client base whom are sceptical of new products and have to be convince that its safe to eat. Come on, DNA testing to certify it safe for consumption?
*
Hmmm that makes sense.

They don't need DNA testing since MacFoods already have their trusted suppliers. Just learn from other countries and test out new burgers. Who knows, there are demographics actually waiting for that to happen.

Just like KFC with their different chicken flavors, why can't McD follow suit?

I remember there is a member from McDonald's Malaysia management team here in /k, but I can't recall his username.
