hello everyone...one question my kingston savage cannot detect at bios..already try like change cable port and other else..is it true if swicth off computer not proper way can destroy ssd lifespan?coz i do it like 7 to 8 times..tq ya

samsung sm871, oem (vnand mlc; 300+ only for 256gb; it's an oem version of 850 pro). if you're worry about warranty then this option might not be for you. but from my personal experience about samsung oem sata/pcie drives, they are good. (sm843 in my main rig is actually an enterprise oem drive; write endurance 1pb tbw; yeah old, but rock solid performance)

btw, there are a lot of good stuff @ our garage sales.

to me both run at similar speed.

the real answer about which is better depends on several things, at least budget and use case. 850 evo is a good choice, and way cheaper than 840 pro if your use case is just client work loads / normal use. (because it's cheaper you can opt for larger capacity variants; so more space for you to use) for heavier workloads, 840 pro is better than 840 evo (due to its persistent read/write speeds), but it costs more.

i have both for different use cases as explained above.

numbers about speed in ssd are mainly for marketing. it doesn't reflect anything practical in real world use.
