Ok.... So, one of my LG IPS237L LED 23" monitor is starting to be wonky and has this some sorta high pitched sound present, to a point that it got a bit high, then *poof* screen blacks out... then 5 seconds later, it works again, with the high pitched sound, then blacks out and cycle repeats... SO definitely something or one of the components sorta "fried" maybe? Anyone knows if it's severe or can it be easily repaired?

And also where would you recommend I should send it in for repair? Lowyat? direct to LG service centers?

coil whine perhaps? send it to LG would be best, or if not send to the shop.

on your side, what you can do is try using on other power connectors or power points and see if the whine still occurs.

I dont think trying different power connectors would help, the whine still occurs, it builds up, then poof black screen and repeats...

I guess i'll send it either direct to LG service center or viewnet in lowyat >.<

sigh..

thanks though smile.gif

Man, that sucked.. well for me, It shouldn't be that bad to blow the plug, since it's smaller amperage..
But the sound is coming within my monitor... i'm using an external adaptor to DC into my screen..
