Which department are you assigned to?

I'm not too sure about probe process engineer but for test engineer, product engineer and test process engineer working hour is flexible, 9.5 hours with core hours from 9am-4pm, Monday to Friday.

There is a fitness center(with yoga trainer), cafeteria(having plan for renovation into much nicer cafe), frequent events and team building for employee, laundry for your smock(esd outfit for manufacturing).

People here are very friendly and very willing to help when you are having problem with your work. The management is also very open to suggestion, you can write in letter in complaining anything, such as the food in cafe is not delicious and they will have a look in the matter and try to fulfill your suggestion.

Do note that FSL is merging with NXP and will be rename as NXP by the end of this year in case you had not got the news yet.

Overall pretty good environment for a manufacturing plant.

I was a probe test engineer before for other company. But i guess and i can share a bit.

Process engineer is more on documentation and verify abnormal incoming materials.

Read about FMEA and statistical process control. You will also need to maintain the control plan document.

A bit tough if lots of abnornality.

There isn't an exact working hours and OT or etc(unless you're taking shift).

The flexible hour I meant is that lets say you clock in at 7am then you can leave at 4.30pm, or 8am-5.30pm. But you cannot come in at 6am and leave at 3.30 or come in at 9.30am and leave at 7 because the core hour to be in office is 9am-4pm.

Attire is smart casual, yes you're right.

If I'm not mistaken there's a KTM/LRT nearby and you'll have to walk for 10-15 mins to office, I don't think there's a direct public bus into that area.

I'm not too sure about this, gotta ask other people for confirmation on this.

By the way FSL have a multi-level parking space and an underground parking at 2 separate side, but you can walk to each other block as they're linked with each other.

No public bus enters the Free Trade Zone but you could easily walk from Setia Jaya KTM station to Freescale, it's approximately 7mins walk. There is a side gate which leads you to Freescale - see attached file, hope this helps.

Realized you're already aware of Setia Jaya KTM station from another post.

Do checkout the following link which shows the route for Bus #U64 (RapidKL). Depending on where you'll be coming from, it stops along Federal Highway and again, you could walk to the side gate shown in my file attached earlier.

Hope this helps.

Sorry for the late response. I believe it really depends on where you're coming from. I may not be the best person to comment between these two as I have not tried them before. Also, I'm not sure about the frequency and punctuality of RapidKL from any of the nearest LRT station.

Anyone here knows or can help?
