I am weighting around 48kg and height 165-167cm..

Currently eating Quaker Instant Oat, 2 banana, HL milk and 2 half boiled eggs for my breakfast..

I read a lot of post telling that for skinny guy to bulk up, he have to eat around 6 meal per day.
As I couldn't afford more with my salary, should I just take mass gainer or whey protein?

I am trying to increase my weight to 55-60kg to reach normal bmi.

I do not want fat to accumulate at stomach, I wish to have 4 packs etc..

Please give me some advice

If you want to gain weight, you have to eat more calories than what your body require.

It's not about how many meals, it's about HOW MUCH you eat in a day, which in the end is calculated using calories.

You can eat 50% more for every meal in a day for a start and continue eating more food.

myfitnesspal calculated for me that I requires 2.5kcal/day..

With my current meals without taking hard mass gainer, it was impossible for me to hit 2.5kcal

Any suggestion of food which will provide such amount of calories to me?

The volume I intake is around 500-600 calories. So that's mean I need to increase the volume of oats, milk and banana?  blink.gif

In order to gain weight, I must exceed 2.5kcal per day?
*
Told you already, you need to eat more sweat.gif Eat more than what your body require, which is 2.5k calories !

And why are you only talking about breakfast? EAT MORE! Double the amount! EAT MORE FOR LUNCH! Double the amount. EAT more for DINNER!

And eat supper!

Problem could be that you're a small eater, just need to learn to eat more.

Lastly, do remember to eat healthily also ya. Cut down on refined carbs like noodles, rice > noodles. Avoid breads and sugary drinks. Eat more protein and fats!

Eat vegetables!

And also work out!

Just bumped into this thread, I think I have posted here 4 years ago, not much has changed, I am still very underweight.  168cm less than 50kg.

I have oral allergy (throat will itch like mad, lips will get swollen, ears will also itch until it feels like want to pop)so I cant take many types of food particularly foods like nasi lemak and those sort of things. (Those foods people serve during hari raya? I have to skip those due to allergy)

Any recommendation? I am tired of being called tiang lampu

Obviously nothing has changed for the past 4 years because you never changed your eating habits. You simply can't do the same thing over and over again expect different results right?

Here's the truth. Has it over occur to you that you don't eat enough? What's your TDEE? This is the single most important step to determine how much you have to eat on a daily basis to gain weight. If you're eating less than your TDEE you'll lose weight, if you're eating at TDEE you'll maintain your weight. It's basic nutrition. Calories in calories out.

TDEE Calculator http://www.fitnessfrog.com/calculators/tdee-calculator.html

Can you also list down how much you eat in a day?

Ahh yes those allergies, then avoid the food that cause you allergies. I'm sure you can eat home made food right? Maybe like some rice and meat right? Question is what have you been eating all these years? You can eat the same food but in bigger amounts. If you can't eat that much in a single meal, eat more meals in a day.

for the peanut butter i got them from Ben's Independant Grocer in Publika, KL. One jar cost RM 14 and has 15 servings. Each serving adds 154 calories to your diet together with the good fats and good protein and less than RM1 per serving, now thats a steal for me.. lol  flex.gif

you can add ground beef as well... i was told the best way to make sure your beef is lean is to get the meat yourself and ground them at home, but i never tried, too much work lol instead i sometimes use burger patty (not ramli crap though, brand like darabif, can easily find this in any hypermarket)

go for salmon! i love salmon so much, its really easy to cook and has plenty of good fats + protein  smile.gif

Sorry for bringing this very old post of yours but I used to take a lot of Sanitarium cruncy(no sugar) a lot a while back in Australia. I didn't know Ben's Publika sells it!

Do you still take it? Is it still being sold for RM14? Is it this one?

http://www.sanitarium.com.au/products/spre...y-peanut-butter

Sanitarium is the healthiest peanut butter I've ever seen because of the incredibly low amount of carbohydrates !

If it's still available there, I don't have to go buy a dozen of them when I visit Australia soon again tongue.gif

Your TDEE is around 2.2k.

You just need to eat more than 2.2k to gain weight (be it muscle or fat). Difficult to count calories? Yes it is, especially when it comes to eating out.

Easier to count calories if you eat/cook at home, you control the ingredients going into your food.

Anyway, if you malas to count calories, just eat more lah. If you don't eat enough how to grow? Start by eating 30-40% more than what you normally eat.
If you constantly feel full, eat more often. Have tea time snacks and eat supper.

You HAVE to EAT MORE. I cannot emphasize how important this is, which perfectly explains the situation you are in now.

diarrhea and overheaty. I use lactose intolerance protein shake but still the same. My stomach kind of too sensitive.

will it too much cholesterol to consume 5 eggs whole daily?
*
Which protein shake is that? I have lactose intolerance as well but ON Gold Whey is fine for me.

No worries on the cholesterol part. Contrary to popular belief, cholesterol is essential for our body. Cholesterol you consume will NOT cause you to have a heart attack (it's not that simple) and cholesterol levels are regulated by our body, if you consume less cholesterol laden food, your body produces less cholesterol, vice versa.

To cut it short, don't worry about eating many eggs or other cholesterol rich food. smile.gif

Thanks man.

Do give ON Gold Whey a try.

How bad is my lactose intolerance? 1 full cup of milk and I'm in the toilet already sad.gif

How bout whey protein? I always heard ppl saying that whey protein is bad lar, steroid lar whatever lar, while i still unable to determined what's so bad about whey protein, can some1 tells me? by the way they also said that if you consume whey protein your muscle will shrink significantly or whatever after u stop training body,is that true?
*
It's just protein. You can get them from meat, dairy and other sources. The good thing about whey protein is the concentration of protein per calory. Usually it's about 75% protein. 1scoop of whey protein will give u around 25g of protein but only about 130 calories. Plus, it's convenient to consume it too.

Thank you for your information ,but which brand do you recommend?
*
Optimum Nutrition Gold Whey. I've only tried this brand and based on reviews, this is probably the top brand in the market. There's also the Dymatize Elite which is quite popular too but I heard it's much sweeter than ON.
