Thank you for your information ,but which brand do you recommend?
*
Optimum Nutrition Gold Whey. I've only tried this brand and based on reviews, this is probably the top brand in the market. There's also the Dymatize Elite which is quite popular too but I heard it's much sweeter than ON.

Eat lots of protein, Chicken, cottage cheese, fish, turkey, steak, eggs, peanut butter. I just love going out, and playing with the kids, and having fun. It's changed everything. My whole life has changed.

Guys,I need to gain weight...

I'm 168cm and 55kg.BMI says I'm good.But I look very thin physically.

I know calorie intake>>calorie burned to increase weight.Googled some tips but the food regime they recommend is quite impossible for me.

Have to eat every 3 hours, do own shopping and cooking and it's not cheap to buy the ingredients.

Any better ways?
My lifestyle is quite active. I walk and jump alot.Maybe I should reduce these?

Thanks

Is it normal for girls to go underweight?

43KG, 158cm

@_@ I have been like that for years. If I keep eating, I only notice gaining fat around my stomach area, strength training is very important after all. It helps improve my core.

Should I cut down the cardio? Cardio increases heart rate, which is good for the health. I felt lousy and tired without doing cardio for weeks..

I feel the guys here should be a little more detailed when they say eat 6 times a day. Basically when they say eat 6 times a day it does not mean eat 6 mixed rice dishes a day coz that's just plain OP.
I am 5'9 and weigh a little over 50kg. Based on my lifestyle (office work and futsal/football once a week), I would need to consume 2,400 ~ 3,000 calories a day to gain weight. Seems daunting, but it's doable, though it needs a lot of training (for your tummy that is).
The tip is to eat small meals in between your main meals. If you are not paying attention to the nutritional labels on your food, is high time you do. It keeps track of your daily intake to ensure you hit your goals. For instance:
Breakfast = 4 eggs + 1 tomato = 350 kcal
Snack = 2 slices wholemeal bread + peanut butter = 350 kcal
Lunch = 500 kcal (mixed rice, chicken rice, etc...average number, could be higher)
Snack = 2 slices wholemeal bread + peanut butter + yogurt = 500 kcal
Dinner = 500 kcal
Supper = Mass Gainer + Milk = 850 kcal
Total = 3,050 kcal

You take the amount of protein, no doubt you gonna gain. UNLESSS!! you are not lifting weights. then the protein has no purpose. you are not tearing ur muscle enough (getting muscle sore) for your body to use those protein.

less sweeter protein, you can try UNIVERSAL.

Hi just joined this thread too. I believe taking caffeine also leads you to skinny form.

Like My problems i have a skinny body, less eating habit and love caffeine drinks a lot, and every night during sleep my body will feel very hot like it is burning(please dont mention about sins lol).

Should I check my metabolism rate first? Some of my friends said thyroid also causing you loss weight but when i go to clinic the doctor said i don't have thyroid anymore.

Now I'm practising eat every 2hrs normally eat bread and butter cookies but until now my weight is 43kg with 170cm tall. So frustrated.

You're probably not eating enough and I'm guessing you don't workout too?
