Ya, in the titan is laggy while everyone switched to support and enginner. Think i tked a @mp member once, while capturing a silo and enemy came behind..

on topic : overall, bf2142 is the best BF series i ever play, manuvering of air vehicle is much friendlier with keyboard and joystick now, leaving the realism aside.

I set my settings all at medium then set to low for dynamic shadow, lighting and effects. Lag free with 7300GS. In Titan, all i face is only the client syncing issues.. where ppl slides and body slides.

You can make a squad at the spawn window ( press Enter ) click on the squads tab. Also, you can invite members to your squad and yes, you can choose.
