To me, it was pretty nice to return to wide, open teambased battles after a long break from RTCW:ET (mainly because there were no more good servers to play on). BF2142 will hold me well until Quake Wars releases next year.

First, the b****ing.

No unlocks make me sad. At least put like... 3 unlock points so people can muck around. Vehicles and campers are ownage in the demo since not many things can take them down easily, save for well-placed rockets and other vehicles. No EMP nades/mines, no C4. And no Frag Nades, so Titan assaults when lots of people are hunkered in is pretty crap.

Inside Titan battles are still lagfests. Warping everywhere.
I need to get used to the hit detection of this game. Random spraying: teh owned by proning people. And flying needs some getting used to.

The good thing: It's goddamn fun

Its fun to camp right on top of the tower right next to Silo 4. or was it 2? Anyway, even as Assault I got a 5 kill streak defending the silo from enemies, just sniping them with single shots. A tank got me though :/
Tried with Recon and pretty much got the same results.

Getting sniped in this game is kinda frustrating, since the area is so huge you have NO idea where the sniper is, unless someone places an UAV or happens to see the sniper. I did knife one in the back though. Good times.
