Hi all,

My current rig :
OS : win 7 home premium 64 bit
Proc : i5-2500k @ 3.3 ghz (2nd gen)
GPU : Geforce gtx 560
Ram : 4gb

MY GFX card recently died and I'm looking to replace it. Wondering if I get the GTX 960 Phantom2048MB GDS for RM 879 ( source : IdealTech) Can my current hardware support it?

Need help and advice from sifu before I burn a hole in my pocket smile.gif

Of course can SUPPORT...doh.gif

Whether it will bottleneck is another issue. Anyway, no need to worry so much for a little bottleneck.

Just make sure you have a good PSU.

For sure it will run fine. If it can power GTX 560 with two 6-pin PCIe it can power up GTX 960 just fine.

Thanks for the reply guys. Please sont be mad at me because im not as knowledgeable about this as some of you are.

So when installing a new gfx card i should worry about the psu as well? Is there any other part I should worry about?

Thanks

Maybe you could tell us what PSU model you are using right now, but judging from your GTX 569 the GTX 960 will run just fine. But I would recommend going for the GTX 970 with just a topup of a few hundred.
